Brayden said we were going to McDonald’s And when I got out of the car and saw this place I promptly pointed out that it wasn’t a McDonalds but we ate there anyway and omg it was so good, the food was pretty pricey like 7 dollar burgers but so worth it. Some of the best diner food I’ve ever ate and the guy working was awesome, amazingly nice guy and took the experience from a 10/10 to a 11/10. In total we got a hotdog, onion rings, two fries, 3 burgers, a gyro, a Nutella milk shake, and the bomber which is like a gyro sandwich with some toppings. The food was simple but delicious.

I went for dinner and enjoyed the food. I had a cheeseburger, fries, and a shake. The burger was cooked just right and the toppings were fresh. I also thought the fries were good. The shake was pretty good, it could have been blended a little more as there was chunks of ice cream floating. The people were friendly and accommodating. The interior was filled with pictures. They also accept Google Pay and other touch less payments. I will return. Bicycling: The Green Bay Trail was only a block away. They have outdoor seating, which is also nice.

What a great spot. In town for a few weeks working. Have stopped in here 3 times in 2weeks to eat. Make sure you try the Niki or the Waitress Special. The Niki is A Cheeseburger with Gyro meat on top. The Waitress is a grilled Cheese with Gyro meat on top. And of course the Gyros are amazing!!! Definitely drop in and take a seat and enjoy the atmosphere, the food, and the company. Tony is a master with his Carousel of meat. Try the local hot sauce also.

They give you nice fat chunks of gyro meat here, it's excellent. My wife and I had a Chicago dog, pizza puff, bomber special, onion rings, Oreo shake. Everything was very good and the prices were fine. Bomber Special and Pizza Puff were my faves. Great dive vibes; it's a tiny 8-stool bar with a little TV in the corner. Playing tennis when I went (hell yeah)

The gyro meat was chunky and had a good bite, and with BBQ sauce on the bomber special it was insane. The onion rings are breaded and I personally prefer battered, but the breading was even and fried well, and the inside was all beautiful stringy onions. Pizza puff was fantastic, great cheese and sauce ratio and really satisfying bites all the way through.

Chicago dog was good, they use a poppyseed bun (I'm sick of going to spots with regular buns, this is a real dog) except I think the sports peppers were a little heavy. Tomatoes were a little light, but I prefer that. Oreo shake was excellent, it was creamy and a little icey in a good way

The guy was really nice too. He was great at interacting with the customers that were interested and laying off the ones just trying to enjoy their...

i came from highland park to wilmette to try chuck wagon since people were saying how good it was. i came with 3 other people, and after all of us ordered our food about to pay, they see our debit cards and tell us they only take cash. nowhere in the "restaurant" did it say that only cash was accepted. you would think that if they don't have a credit card machine, then you would have a sign or at least something saying what type of payment methods you accept. we had to walk a few blocks down to the bank to take money out of the ATM. so when we finally did get our food, we all looked at it in shock. we could have gotten better quality food at BURGER KING and paid a lot less. it ended up being over $30 for 2 cheeseburgers, chicken fingers, 2 fries, and 2 drinks. not to mention that the chicken fingers looked like frozen fish sticks...they were tiny! i would not recommend this place in the least bit. SAVE YOUR MONEY!! go somewhere with...

I was watching a local Chicago food TV show that recomended the Restaurant for their special the "Niky" burger 🍔 . Unfortunately the TV show glorify the burger more than it was really worth. My burger was very dry, the fries where overcooked and the vebrage was flat. The meal was over price since it is located in wealthy Wilmington Chicago suburb. One can get a better meal and better price value at a Maxwell hot dog stand.

The interior of the restaurant was very small and poor maintain. One wall was full of old photos full of dirt and oil. I expect all restaurants management to have a food establishment spotless clean specially after the quarantine.

Defenetly a local place, that people might visit for the nostalgia. Keeping it classic doesn't mean to keep it classic down to the founding dirt of the grand opening back 40 years ago.

I would not recommend to go out...
