Dowize is honestly just a really nice place nestled into downtown Wilmette. It is always clean and open for lunch through the dinner hour; it is usually quiet inside for dining in, although take-out and delivery are options as well.
The food quality is excellent, and the variety is pretty extensive across several different cuisines and including multiple protein and vegetarian options. The ingredients have always been very fresh and prepared beautifully, and served generously. There is an array of traditional and modern Thai and Chinese dishes including curries, rices, noodles, bento boxes and sushi, and complete entrees and special meals. A personal highlight is they have ice-blended fruit freeze bubble tea drinks, which are a real treat on a nice day and not available anywhere else within walking distance.
The associates are kind, and the menu is priced very competitively. The only aside is service can be slow around the dinner hour with take-out and delivery call-ins, though the relaxed pace isn't a downside if you go in with that...

11/2022 experience: Stopped in and only one other party was dining in. I sat down and Was brought a menu and water. The waitress then handled phone orders and walk-in pickups; she took the other party’s order, then back to phone orders and pickups! I just sat there and waiter, but every time the phone rang or another customer walked in, they were helped first, so I left - they didn’t even say anything when I did!

Phenomenal place. Came here after a long day and upon entering was seated right away, servers are friendly and the place is quite cozy. Got the pad thai and it was one of the best I've tried--it was flavorful and portions were generous.
