I love pizza joes. Unfortunately I don’t live in the area any longer but when I do I’m sure to stop in.
This pizza shop is family friendly and family owned. Dave and Tracey are great people and have made this shop a small treasure in New Wilmington.
There are a lot of favorites on my list. The Stromboli, Thursday pizza greens, veggie pizza, spinach Italian pizza, pj dip and sticks, even some of the newer generation pizzas are extremely tasty. Square pizza is a MUST. Dough is made fresh daily.
If you are local you need to realize you’ve got something special here. There aren’t many pizza shops like this. Because of this I don’t eat pizza very often. When I do, I wish it were pizza...
   Read moreWe ate here on Halloween 2015. It was busy so our food taking almost 45 mins compared to the 15 min wait they stated we understood. We also ordered wings. As my 8 year old son was eating he said ew gross look. And a HUGE hair was in it. When brought to managers attention he fluffed it off asking if we wanted new. Umm noo considering they have hair in them. He was too busy with family to focus on the resturant. It was absolutely filthy and the soda machine needed changed out desperatly. Absolutely disgusting and awful customer service. It was absolutely chaos in the kitchen. We were given a free Stromboli when our pizza was finally done but it wasn't wanted...

For a quick lunch during a day of shopping, we ordered a superoni wedgie, which came out very quickly and was a perfect size for sharing. It lived up to the name and was packed with pepperoni and cheese. The sauce was a bit sweet and the pepperoni did make it a little oily, but the flavor was wonderful and the crust was cooked perfectly, soft in the middle with a good crunch on the outside. I wish I had come with a bigger appetite because everything that came out of the kitchen...
