Lovely! I literally live 5 mins. away by car, but I felt like I did a " Day Trip " to a Destination Spot that could've been a few hours away! I'm not saying that Staten Island isn't good, in fact I'm actually saying that it's GREAT because an establishment such as this Restaurant is a very Welcomed addition to that many other Businesses I've been impressed with and I don't have to Travel far to get to them. Since we're still in the ' Outdoor Seating Phase ' I took advantage of the beautiful sunny day to visit, however, I'm very Anemic and my body could not tolerate the high winds and cooler temp. But it was still an opportunity before the real cold arrives so I went. The Server was so understanding about my inability to stay outdoors to eat so he wrapped up my whole order as I warmed up in my car. It might not sound like such a big deal, but believe me it was a huge deal for anyone who is Anemic. That said, I had other things to do before heading home and my food was running those errands with me lol, so about 5 hrs. after purchasing Eggs Benedict ( The dish is served on crab cakes, hollandaise sauce and a potato roll ) Absolutely a Must Try, and I was in shock after I reheated it and the yolk was still the same as it should be when poached!!! Hours Later Too!!! Amazing... The Crab Meat was Crab Meat! 100% without any fillers that I could see, at least that was my take on it but nonetheless this was Crab at it's best for this method. They offered a Great Service, very Attentive Staff Person, Linen Napkins ( I appreciate things like that when dining at a Quaint yet still Fine Eatery ), I think the " Little Things/Details " matter, and if someone makes the effort to provide them, I make the effort to provide a compliment and this Restaurant deserves many of them, and not just from me. Undoubtedly this Place is as Special as it's designed to be as explained in their Bio ( worth the read ), and the Chef certainly cares about what he serves his Customers as well. It was my first time ever seeing a menu that stipulated how the Chef personally makes up his Menu by choosing Fresh and Seasonal Ingredients, then turns them into the Delicious Creations that inspired this review. He of course offered items we're familiar with in the Traditional Sense and also some of those were sporting a twist such as my meal choice. He also showcased some Culinary Skills by getting creative and his Love for Food is reflected in the menu items that are his own and I can't wait to go again to eat what has already gotten my mind salivating, and since there's plenty to choose from I'll have to make many visits. Luckily I will not have to worry about the cold weather afterall because I was informed that Indoor Dining will be avail. beginning at the end of Sept., so I'm good to go and as I've already said, I don't have far to go, and to have an overall Wonderful Experience that made me feel like I was on Martha's Vineyard or some other location similarly is not only Appealing to me, but I feel like I deserve to be able to stay put on this Island and enjoy all it has to offer Foodwise especially with this Gem that I found while looking for something else was discovered and I just had a feeling it was going to be exactly where I needed to go just to get away from all we're dealing with, and have a meal that resembled the end of Summer combined with the taste and the aromatic hues that signify all we love about Autumn. The Crisp Fresh Air as well as the Changing Colors of the Leaves set an Ambience that paired so Perfectly with the Chef's Menu as well as the Location of this Restaurant, I couldn't have been pleased me anymore than I was. It's not too often when a Day leaves you with the feeling that you just spent a week, at the very least of complete contentment but it was exactly how I felt because it began on such a positive note that everything else that followed was met with ease and that lent to a sense of calamity that I've missed a lot lately. Thanks to the Harvest Café I'm going to have more to look forward to and I have no doubt...
Read moreThis is the first place we ate during this week long stay on Staten Island. It is very bright, cheerful and clean. We only saw street parking but easily found a spot across from the restaurant on a side street. We wanted breakfast but they stopped serving at 11. Lunch is served from 11 am-3pm when they close. The lunch menu looked great also. My daughter ordered a Caesar Salad with grilled chicken which was very fresh with crisp homemade croutons. I ordered the loaded tater tots and asked for fried eggs on top which they were happy to make even though breakfast was over. It was so delicious! I couldn’t eat all of the tots. The loaded tater tots are definitely sharing size! To get such a great lunch with tea and tip for only $25.00 is incredible! We were surprised by how fast our food arrived at our table. The staff were all so professional and attentive. They were also some of the sweetest people we have ever met! We were treated like Royalty. Our waiter, John, actually walked outside and thanked us and welcomed us to return. Please visit Harvest Cafe, you will leave a happier person and not just because of the great food...
Read moreMy experience with this place it's not bad.👍😊 It's just the people I went with, were a bit cranky. The food was spot on. The inside was business and home like. I was supposed to go somewhere else with a group of people but instead I went here. To be honest, I wanted to go here. When I looked up this place online, it favoured my interest.😊 They had good choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. 🧇🥞🍳🥪🍔🍝 The prices are a little steep, but I enjoyed it.👍 They had a bathroom but didn't have time to experience it. They also have desserts and pastries up front. I brought white chocolate pretzels 🍫🥨 for $3. They accepted cash or credit 💳💸 which was good for me. I might come back here again for another choice, maybe this time with people that are decent. 😊👍...
