Very dissappointed in this place. Ordered a hero, was told it was $2.25 extra for fresh Mozzerella over reg kind. I was first undercharged by the girl, me the honest guy I am said you undercharged me and it's extra for the fresh muzzy. No problem, except I was charged $3.50 for the cheese. I said something and was ignored. So I said something again and one of the workers who didn't even ring me up or see the total told me it was tax. $11.25 + $2.25 plus NY tax is $14.70 I know, math was my best subject. They charged me $15.77. Also hero was subpar at best and the sauce they gave on the side wasn't even half filled in this tiny cup. Want good service and pizza go to Giuseppe's instead in Eltingville. This is not the first time I was overcharged and nickled and dimed in this place. And to the guy who mentioned they got raw food on here, yes the same thing happened to be before here as well with the chicken roll also. I really like the people working here too, but to treat me like that and ignore me without checking and just chalking it up to tax was a big mistake. You just lost a regular customer who comes in serveral times a week. If there is one thing I really hate, it's getting ripped off and nickled and dimed. Like that sort of thing then by all means shop here. Also this place can't even make zeppolis properly. trust me I know and the Pizza quality is totally random....
Read moreTHEY SERVED ME AN ALMOST COMPLETELY RAW BUFFALO CHICKEN ROLL (see attached pictures. That’s not melted cheese that’s dough so raw it’s basically uncooked). The worst part is I was so hungry that I ate 3 or 4 decent sized bites before the overwhelming smell of raw dough completely took over my sense of smell and I ripped the roll open. I declined them fixing it because every time I’ve been there (5 or 6 times) it’s been something else. Whether there’s mistakes made on the order, something gross happening, or having a coupon or sale online and then when I get the order ready and call they say “that shouldn’t be offered online because for x,y, or z reason we can’t honor it”. Worst of all even when everything goes right the food is just alright at best. I will never be ordering from them again, and it’s a shame because I’m not even 5 minutes away. I already stopped recommending telling people to eat here from my prior experiences, now I’ll be telling people to avoid it like the plague. If you live close do yourself a favor and drive an extra few minutes to a decent...
Read moreour first experience at Ambrosino’s was to dine in. We had soup and fried calamari and ordered a large Sicilian pie half with sausage. I can only tell you is soup was out of this world we had lentil and escarole with beans just divine the Sicilian pie reminds me of the pie my father used to make from Mott Street in Manhattan. I second experience was we ordered and. and again, very satisfied with our meals we were his Panini. We were at a rap, a hero, find calamari and soup. All was enjoyed and fulfilling by everyone at our table. So happy that you are open and we will certainly have many more dinners sponsored by Ambrosino’s. Good luck to you and hope that you were there for many...
