Easy winter weekend parking at the dedicated paved lot off Arden Ave. Trails are well-marked (online trail map is available on NYC parks website). There are multiple vernal ponds and creek criss-crossing the park. These are wetlands, so proper hiking shoes are recommended. Overall, it was a nice solitary hike, but I would not repeat it at warm time of the year due to mosquito concern.

These woods have some nice trails to walk on. You can also ride a bike through there if you choose to do so. It also helps you get through to Arden ave from Aspen knolls. There are also some lakes in there and just a fun place to get away from all the busy traffic and populated areas in...
