Armandos Pizza — Restaurant in New York

This place makes the absolute best Sicilian pizza in the known universe! There is no competition anywhere on the planet and this is not up for debate.

Their regular slice is perfect, but their Sicilian...I don't care how much effort you put into a pizza, where it was made, how authentic or how old the recipe is, the Sicilian pizza at Armando's is the best pizza of any kind on the planet. I said what I said and any other opinion is wrong and irrelevant.

Caveat: to enjoy the full experience, it's only the best pizza on the planet for the first 15 minutes after it comes out of the oven. After that 15 minutes, it's just an excellent pizza.

This use to be my favorite pizza shop in the neighborhood. But not anymore. I frequently order the shrimp parm. with spaghetti & a pie with extra cheese. The pie with extra cheese is now a regular pie, cut into small pieces. The pies are made smaller than usual. And the shrimp that comes with the pasta, aren't only smaller shrimp (they use to give extra large or jumbo now they're medium). They also give you fewer pieces. Before they would give you a nice amount of jumbo shrimp. Do they think that this will go unnoticed by their regular customers? (Rhetorical). OMG. I'm a native NYer and I have been looking for a better than good pizza spot for plain cheese pizza. Then my cousin suggested this place. Needless to say this is EXACTLY the taste I have been looking for!!! I grew up on this pizza but moved away from that area like 8 years ago. Since then, I have had pizza from A LOT of different places over the years and this place is still the best! When you search Google for the best pizza places in NYC this place NEEDS to be on the list! This pizza is worth the drive. Keep making...
