On 9/27 I purchase four oxtails (2 large & 1 small ) dinners, one stew, chicken and a soup total $96.61 . unfortunately, my mom said her that it was too salty and I agree, she was unable to eat her meal. I tried calling them immediately , however no answer.. Moving forward I did not want any money back however I want them to give my SENIOR mom her dinner. Keep in mind that I was willing to get a stew chicken dinner instead, because I know the cost of oxtails are expensive( which the manager was quick to agree ).. My Mom threw the food away along with the receipt. Now I get it people play games always trying to get over but I explained again that all I want to do is give my mom her dinner no money back and that was it, but unfortunately, Golden Krust was not able to accommodate. I've patronized this business before, and they are aware. Very disappointed the manager is not willing to even look and see the money that was spent on that day, which I'm sure she has a record of her receipts and to see that I was not trying to get over. Just get a replacement for my mom even at the cost of taking a loss of the difference cost of the dinner . So with that being said, I would not patronize this Restaurant in the future. BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE IN...
Read moreAnother hole-in-the-wall review (see my review for Tabata 2). This place has like four or five tables and not much ambiance. Before ordering food, I browsed the menu board that's posted on the wall. I opted for the fried snapper in brown sauce and rice and beans. I was told it would take ten minutes which was nice of them to do. While waiting for the food, various interesting characters came in to order lunch. The sideshow did not take away from the awesome lunch, though. When my order came, I lugged it back to my room - it must have weighed in a good two to three pounds! When I opened the container, I beheld a heavenly sight! The crispy, crunchy snapper was sitting on top of a bed of rice and beans. The brown sauce was in one of the compartments and a small salad (lettuce and tomato) was in another. The brown sauce was the bomb! The snapper was crispy and crunchy and oh so mouthwatering! The beans and rice complimented the protein source which made you want to shovel spoonfuls of it with every bite of the snapper! When I was done, I could feel a ton of bricks in my tummy but euphoric! This place is small but the food is oh...
Read moreI used to come here often because it is the closest Caribbean restaurant within walking distance but have opted to take a drive elsewhere simply because of the food presentation. At 4 pm on a Saturday the food looked dried out and old (salmon, Rasta pasta, bbq chicken, fried chicken). There has to be a way to preserve the moisture in the food or to cover it so that it doesn't look like it had been sitting out overnight. I do trust that this would make the food look more appealing to buy. I dislike being inconvenienced but have found it better to drive to nearby restaurants like Royal Jerk or Tropical Taste. I hope that this review lands in the right hands and helps to improve this location. Best wishes!
PS: I went to Tropical Taste immediately after today and everything looked nice & fresh (it is a good business strategy to visit your competitors and see...
