Oh this place is amazing and so accommodating to my food diets. I was visiting family and was extremely hungry. I was told to stop by another Haitian restaurant for food but luckily they didn’t have anything I wanted, I searched for another and I found this place. I just wished I found this place sooner. My boyfriend and I were welcomed with open hands, we enjoyed the food so much I had to come back the next day (sadly the day I was leaving) and I brought some home for my family to try and it was a hit. I was hosting a party and the only place I could trust with my event was this one. The owners were so kind and so friendly with me and worked with me with all my wishes. My guest loved the food so much and some were from the same area so I’m happy they found a wonderful spot for food. I would like to say thank you so much, I live by so many other Haitian restaurants and I will drive two hours to get to this one they are so inviting so kind the food is delicious it’s worth every dime. Out of every Haitian restaurant I’ve walked into I can say this was the first Haitian restaurant I’ve ever felt had respect for every single one of its guest and from the bottom of my heart I appreciate that. Thank you so much. I will be doing...
Read moreI called and placed an order for fritay over the phone. When we got there, they said after 1 hour the order is canceled. It was about 36 minutes when we arrived. Not understanding how that makes sense and why we now had to wait. A lady from the back then comes out to say after 30 minutes the order is canceled. I guess she needed us to fit into the timeframe to justify this excuse. Not sure where the food went and why we now had to wait allegedly it was given to someone else who walked in and took it 6 minutes before we arrived. We left to take our business elsewhere. I will no longer reinforce the bad behavior of Haitian businesses that feel like since you're there you'll just take whatever. If you don't live around the block or in their basement don't order. Your food will be gone...
Read moreI rated this place a one star because of the following: Bouyon----Just plain bad! They need to scrap that recipe and search for a new if they care about what kind of food they serve. Pickliz----if there were hot peppers in it, I didn't taste or smell any. I ended up throwing both containers of Pickliz away. Legumes----was bland didn't taste like Haitian food should. Fried Plantains----soggy with grease. I guess the cook doesn't know that plantains have to be fried in very hot oil. Red Beans & Rice (Diri Kole)----not too bad, but I've had much better. Akra----needs more seasoning. Fried Batata (Patat Fri)----not fried long enough (under-cooked). All in all this is a place where the staff doesn't seem to know what they're doing, and, as such, it's a business that I'll never...
