Disheartening Decline in Quality at Big John’s Pizzeria
Dear Big John’s Pizzeria,
I am writing this with a heavy heart as a long-time customer who has cherished the memories associated with your establishment. Unfortunately, my recent experience has left me disheartened and compelled to share my concerns.
Over the years, I have relished the freshness and love evident in your pizzas. However, my recent order was far from the Big John’s I remember. Despite ordering an XL pizza, what awaited me was disappointingly small. The once delectable cheese now lacked its former allure, it no longer just slips off deliciously and the pepperonis were not only minuscule but also unpleasantly hard.
Equally distressing was the state of the bread. The soft, delicious texture I grew up loving has been replaced by a thin, stale alternative that pales in comparison. Even the zeppoli’s, a treat I eagerly anticipated, were lackluster – insufficient powdered sugar robbed them of their usual delight.
As someone who has grown up with Big John’s, from elementary school to military service, it pains me to witness this decline. The place I once associated with warmth and quality now seems more focused on profit than the love that used to infuse your food.
Regrettably, my loyalty has been tested, and I cannot overlook these recent shortcomings. Losing a customer who has been a steadfast supporter throughout the years should be a cause for concern. I hope this feedback prompts a reevaluation of your priorities and a return to the standards that made Big John’s a beloved part of my upbringing. Would like to note that I’m pregnant AF so I still ate. But usually I would’ve devoured a whole pie alone. I couldn’t eat more...
Read moreUpdate: They once again made my wings with the wrong sauce today, and when I talked with the manager, he was kind of rude. Said he would only send replacement if wings were untouched (which they were) and tried to pull a "gotcha" on me when he said honey bbq and normal bbq wouldn't taste very different and I disagreed with that; trying to make it seem like I ate some when the sauce both smelled very different and also looks different (their honey bbq is usually more orange and smells different than the normal bbq.) I then had to spend like a half hour staring at food I wasn't allowed to eat waiting for my correct order. Original Review: Ever since they joined that stupid slice app they've taken a nosedive down hill. I've been an extremely loyal customer for years, and now every other order there's been some sort of problem. Made my wings with the wrong sauce twice (three times as of the updated review), ordered a double portion once to save for later and they straight up forgot it, they called to ask for a substitution for an item they ran out of and then forgot to send said substitution; once they even sent some cut up sausages drenched in tomato sauce instead of fries. When they make the food right, it's very good and very affordable for the price, but I am nearing the end of my rope with the constant mess ups. I just want to be able to have my damn dinner when it comes, not have to deal with Slice's customer service and possibly have to wait an extra half hour or more for my actual...
