Big Nose Kate's Saloon — Restaurant in New York

I will NEVER come back here. Me and my friend came to the bar because they knew the band that was playing. I had just recently moved back to NY and still had my AZ license. I ordered a drink and the woman at the bar took my ID and told me it was fake and said “You’re lucky I don’t take this from you”. I said “Excuse me??!” She was so convinced it was fake, I told her to take it and I’ll call the cops so they can prove it was real. She then asked me what address was on my ID and gave me .2 seconds to respond. As I was about to answer, she said “Yeah, it’s fake, but I’ll get you your drink” and threw it back at me. At this point, I wanted nothing to do with this establishment. I told her don’t bother and I would be leaving a bad review. She then got an attitude with me and told me she’s the manager of this place, which later found out is not true, her boyfriend is actually the manager. Big Nose Kate’s is such a nostalgic and rustic bar on the south shore of Staten Island. In fact it is one of the only places on the island where you not only get to experience the rustic feel of the old St. Luke’s church but it also serves the best baby Guiness shots on the island. In fact if you ever have the pleasure of visiting this gem on the south shore of Staten Island you need to without a doubt order the Baby Guiness shots from Maggie. You will not be disappointed. They also have phenomenal food. The wings are to die for and the burgers are probably the juiciest Ive ever had in my life. Waited two hours, called to asked about my order. They said it was next to go out. Half hour later they called and said they had no fried chicken. All 3 orders were fried chicken!! For mediocre food, they have some nerve to lie about the wait time twice and then not even have what we ordered. What a sham. They even hung up on me. They should be embarrassed. I assume all the positive reviews are from their friends and family because NO WAY is this place worth it for the food or the wait time. McDonalds food is better than this place and there is no wait. I'd assume any positive reviews this place got were from family and friends. No one in their right mind would give raving reviews...
