In this area of Queens, it’s a nice change to see a Vietnamese Pho restaurant open in this sea of Korean restaurants. Bo and Ga recently opened and has a very limited and focused menu. The only offerings are Pho (there’s 5 to choose from) and Vietnamese rolls (Summer and Spring). We went for an early dinner on Saturday and the place was empty, but it looked like they were doing gang busters with take-out and delivery orders.

We ordered the Pho Bo Signature ($16.99), Shrimp Summer Rolls ($10.99) and Vegetable Spring Rolls ($8.99)

The Pho Bo Signature Bowl had Brisket, Rare Steak and Tripe served with noodles in beef broth. The beef broth was light and not as beefy as I was expecting but still tasty. It was really great after I sprayed it with lemon and added Hoisin sauce and Sriracha. The noodles were soft and silky, great for slurping and had a nice chew. One thing I must note was that I wished there was more meat in the bowl. The rare steak was cut really thin (you could practically see through it) and it was so good.

The Shrimp Summer Rolls comes 2 per order and had a side of peanut sauce. I really enjoyed these. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, and the veggies (fresh and pickled) were great. Strangely it came with a small plate of pickled onions which I’ve never seen before. I’m not sure if these were for eating with the rolls or the bowl of pho.

The Vegetable Spring Rolls comes 4 per order and had a side of fish sauce. Also, good but different from the usual Vietnamese spring rolls that I’m used to. They were bigger in size and did not come with lettuce for wrapping in. Frankly, it tasted more like Chinese Spring Rolls which I also happen to like.

I enjoyed the meal. Came out of it very full and I thought the prices weren’t too bad. The staff were so attentive. We had two people come by and check on us periodically. I wish them the best and hope people...

This place previously was a sushi restaurant and is now a Pho restaurant operated by Korean owners.

In case you don't know, Koreans are really good at cooking low and slow broths and reducing it for flavors. They're really good at making white pork bone soup. So switching to beef to make clean and clear beef broth is probably doable. The broth has NO MSG which is hard to find for Pho.

The accutrements for your pho include, bean sprouts, some basil leaves, cilantro, and a lime wedge. What I love is the pickled red onions. They're ever so lightly pickled and sweet. When eaten with the Pho, it accompanies the flavors.

The fried pork rolls are one of the best we've had. They're not traditionally Vietnamese ones, but they taste better. Less greasy overall and lots of filling. The dipping sauce also isn't the typical fish sauce, but a vinegar sugar based sauce. It's refreshing tasteful.

There isn't much to the decor of the restaurant, it's an open simple and clean space. The owners are very nice and offer us hot tea on cold days and refills on the pho accutrements.

We've been here twice on chilly Friday evenings and always hits the spot. Prices are slightly higher but I don't mind it for the freshness. The quantity is also a good size, I've never been able to finish all my noodles.

Our favorite is the torched fatty beef pho. Torching the beef adds a different flavor dimension. It reminds me of bone marrow.

If you've been to Pho Che, this place is similar but larger and cleaner tasting beef broth. Same prices but a...

The shrimp summer rolls were so delicious - it was so refreshing and delicious - perfect for the summer! Highly recommend you try this! The peanut sauce tastes so light and pairs super well with the summer roll!

Beef mushroom rolls were also super tasty! They had scallions, beef, mushrooms and they blend together to create a delicious appetizer!

The potato croquettes are also a must try! The batter is super crispy and the inside is super soft pillowy potatoes! The croquettes are also seasoned perfectly! Not too salty and not too oily!

The brisket dish’s presentation is so beautiful! The flavors also blend

Spicy cold noodles also looked too beautiful to eat! Be careful though, it does pack a kick! But it’s not too spicy that it doesn’t have any flavor - the flavor is so refreshing!

The cold chicken noodles were so refreshing and surprising! If you’ve had naengmyeon, think of a pho naengmyeon, and this is that! It’s slightly sweet, slightly sour, and a whole lot of deliciousness!

Their signature pho broth is lighter, but you can still taste the amount of love and care that they put into their soups! You can taste how each component of their broth blends in with other ingredients!

The ingredients that they use are all so fresh!

If you’re in the Flushing area, I would highly recommend you come here! It’s a perfect spot for lunch or dinner with your friends or significant other! The decor and vibes inside are also so...
