I was actually excited about this place, but I’m letting you guys know if you’re a person of color please do not come to this place. They treat you terrible they act like your value of money is not the same as others. I’m actually hurt by come in here it was the worst experience me going out to any restaurants and I’m really a foodie on Thursday July 11 2024 I when to bungalow. which I previously went there two days ago I was excited and happy because I really liked the food. So I decided to take my whole entire family out. little did I know that it would’ve been a disaster. below the pictures of the oysters that I ordered the first time and when I got the second time, spicy overcooked and very disgusting. I asked to speak to a manager. They pointed me to ayoung women later on told me her name is Megan, her name is Megan. I asked her last time I ordered these oysters doesn’t look or taste the same. She seemed very agitated and annoyed. So she started screaming at me. What do you want me to do what you want me to do about it what do you want me to do about it? I simply walked away and returned to my table. Walked she said oh you can’t just walk away from people like that who do you think you are? Continue to proceed to my table Extremely mad I was seconds from saying canceleverything . She came over by the table with the attitude. Only thing I can do is just give you 50% off mwith a loud pitch voice, very rude and unprofessional . you I only ate one oyster and it was the worst oyster in the world. Also, it made me throw up right there and then I said whatever we’ll take the 50% off but can you please remake it she remade it and it was still horrible and overcooked. I said no biggie. It’s OK I’ll take the 50% off after that, I stated this is the last time I ever come to this place again because of your hospitality. She shoved her shoulders and she said I don’t care and rolled her eyes. She made the oysters and bung them out and set them at the end of the table. once again, very rude and disrespectful me and my family finish eating the rest of the food and we left the oysters there do . I have asked the previous waiter does she know the manager know the name of that manager? I guess the waiter went back and told her I was asking her about her name. so she came out and screamed to her top of her lungs. First of all my name Megan OK cool I will leave you a great review. My mom had to tell her to calm down with her screaming and yelling to tone her voice down a little to remember that we are customers. she screwed the top of her lungs. she also stated A loud pitch voice, where everyone can hear I have been nothing but nice to you people . I totally just ignored her because I already felt disrespected not once but three times I paid my bill and went about my way.. also I had to tell them to bring utensils to my table as well because they set the table with no utensils so they had me standing there for five minutes without utensil while everyone ignored me when I asked and called them over for the utensil finally five minutes later they actually came with utensils the worst horrible experience ever and I don’t want...
Read moreI really really wanted this place to be good. I gave three stars because I loved the setup of the bar area with jet ski/boat rental in back, beach style bathrooms and view of the water and bridge.
The bathrooms are in the front walkway as soon as you enter, which is great if you want to freshen up after the beach. Keep walking towards the back and you will reach a divide where you will have to make an important decision: a. Go left to the bar that is usually always busy, drinks are fast, food service is slower, less places to sit but the view is great OR b. Go right to enter the restaurant where there is AC inside, food service is faster and the view is good but depends on where you sit on the patio because it does get crowded.
We chose the bar area high tops counter near the water which was nice but hard to snag; seemed like a semi mixed groups of people at a crowded bar. Our bartender was fast with the drinks. I ordered some watermelon drink with a green rim that was “Cute” but def not special in ingredients or preparation. Do NOT go here for handcrafted or speciality drinks. Just basic stuff at a more expensive price but we didn’t mind because the view 🙏
We ended up ordering food from the bartender because I didn’t see in servers in this section. We ordered: Baked clams-which were decent but not exciting because of the unfresh taste of the clams. Thank god for the bread. Shishito peppers- I wanted to love them but the overall quality of the pepper was low grade so they drenched it in sauce and sesame seeds. Fish tacos- possibly the worst I’ve ever had. It was like minced uncooked fish ? Not breaded, but like broken up and fishy taste. They use tortilla and not taco shells which made the overall texture of each bite worse. Frozen cocktails- thank god for they spent money on a good ice machine, they make adult slushees which was great.
Overall, service is poor. Our food runner BURNT my back with the cast iron pot that the baked clams came in as he was reaching to put the pot down from behind me. He looked so scared, didn’t offer ice, and didn’t even tell a manager or do anything about it. I had a burn mark for a week. Our bartender was so busy but helped as much as he could. There was no manager or server available besides MULTIPLE security guards at the door. There is NO PARKING.
Upside: you can rent jet skis down by their dock and even boats, super casual vibe aka come as you are, you can order sitting down from an online menu (see pic), they have a really special view of the bridge and bay rap during sunset, plus the bar is a bustling scene if you are...
Read moreI’d like to share my recent experience with a particular bartender at this establishment. My friend and I came in yesterday for food and drinks. We were told we could wait at the bar until we received a text that our table was ready—no problem.
This wasn’t my first visit. I had a great time previously—good food, great vibes, excellent service. Naturally, I expected a similar experience this time around, especially with football season bringing in more crowds.
After about 10 minutes of trying to get the bartender’s attention, my friend gave up, so I tried. As I was about to speak, the bartender cut me off and said, “I’ll be with you in a minute.” Fair enough—I waited.
I was standing between two customers who were already drinking. They noticed I hadn’t been helped and even encouraged me to yell to get his attention. I told them the bartender had asked me to wait, so I stayed patient.
However, over the next 10 minutes, the bartender repeatedly returned to those same customers on either side of me, offering them refills—multiple times. At one point, one of the men even pointed at me and said, “She needs help too,” and yet, the bartender still didn’t acknowledge me beyond saying again that he’d get to me “shortly.”
Altogether, we stood there for about 30 minutes without service or proper acknowledgment. When someone else finally helped us (I finally was able to get someone else's attention), we were told they didn’t even have the drinks we came in for.
This experience left a really sour taste, especially in contrast to my previous visit.
What bothered me most is the feeling that we were deliberately overlooked. I’ve worked in hospitality and customer service for over 20 years, and I understand busy days. But this didn’t feel like being busy—it felt personal. My friend is gay, and we couldn’t help but wonder if the bartender’s repeated dismissal was due to bias against us being there "together".
I don’t make these kinds of assumptions lightly, but I think it’s important to speak up when something doesn’t feel right. This interaction was not just disappointing—it was disheartening. Unfortunately, it’s enough to make us not want to return, and we’ll be sharing our experience with others as well.
Just a heads-up for anyone considering visiting: your experience may vary depending on who’s...
