CJ Cafe Rosedale — Restaurant in New York

Very poor experience. Two days ago I was very hungry and was feeling for some Jamaican food. I had the flaming salmon with rice & peas. First of all I never been to a Jamaican restaurant that only serves your meat and rice. where is the plantains? the cabbage? something !? I asked the cashier if I was getting something with the Salmon and rice and she told me she only have a little lettuce. The lettuce had a weird color and was not looking fresh. So I asked for a little bit on the side. So after paying $15.00 for my meal, I went into my car to start eating. When I opened the container of food, I was disappointed. The salmon was soggy and not cooked well done, the rice was dry (I told the lady to put some oxtail gravy but there was barely any) & of course the lettuce was watery. I took one bite of the salmon with some rice and it was cold. I like my food REALLY HOT so I was very disappointed. About 5 mins pass and I went back into the store to get my money back. The lady in the front gave me an attitude and told me there is no refund. I explained to her that I had just purchased the food not too long ago. The lady didn't apologize nor she didn't offer me anything else. She was very rude and went to back to get some number for "management". I spoke to this guy on the phone and he said he was going to give me a call and NEVER DID. My parents are from the Caribbean so I know what good food taste like and this restaurant is not it!!!!! Not me taking time out of my busy day to write a review about the disgusting old light skinned lady that’s the cashier, this is my first time getting food from here and she turned me off completely, I will be giving this place a second chance because their food is not bad but I promise next time she gives me bad customer service I will be cursing her out because for a older lady she is very spiteful and envious, treats women badly when they come in, this lady took everyone’s order before mine and kept ignoring me for no reason then when one of the guys came from the back and asked if I needed help she called him and whispered something in his ear, I asked for an additional item that I didn’t received but it was paid for, mind you she didn’t help me at all, when the guy came with the item I’m missing she then jumped up oh I didn’t pay for that like lady how would you know if you didn’t even bother to look at my order, I was sooo upset, he then told her yes she paid for it, it’s on her receipt they need to get rid of that old miserable spiteful lady because her attitude towards customers is uncalled for , disrespectful and...

I was really trying to love this place as I was looking for a new spot. My very first time was last week Thursday. I ordered the Jerk chicken with rice n peas n a side of the macaroni salad. Very tasty and the portion and presentation was amazing. It was on my mind that I went back Sunday and ordered the same thing. Well I don't know if the server (didn't see him the first time I was there) heard me say a kids meal and even other ppls plates I saw him putting together seemed as if he was trying to 'stretch' the food. When I got home I saw he put 3 little knuckle sized pieces of chicken and one leg that looked like it was from a Cornish hen. And I'm not sure where he scraped up the rice from .
