Coconut Palm Restaurant just transported my taste buds on a first-class flight to the tropics! Nestled like a hidden gem in the heart of the city, this vibrant spot is a celebration of island vibes, bold flavors, and seriously good food. Now, let’s talk food. The coconut shrimp? Crunchy golden bites of heaven, with a sweet chili dip that should probably come with a warning label: dangerously addictive. The jerk chicken had just the right kick—spicy enough to wake up your senses, but mellowed by a velvety coconut rice that deserves its own fan club. And the tropical cocktails? Let’s just say I now fully understand the phrase “drink in paradise.” Whether you’re out for date night, catching up with friends, or just craving an edible vacation, Coconut Palm Restaurant delivers a dining experience that’s both fun and unforgettable.

Having a meal at the Coconut Palm Restaurant always reminds me of eating a home cook Guyanese meal. The food is always fresh & tasty. During this pandemic they're doing a great job with mask wearing, social distancing & sanitizing. The outdoor area in the back yard is very comfortable I felt very safe having my dinner. The tables are spread apart, all the employees are wearing their mask & they have a sanitizer station for guest. Always a pleasure visiting this restaurant.

Great setup but the location is a little hidden in plain sight. Their food here is average and not the best compared to other Caribbean restaurants. The interior smells like a mixture of cigarettes and whiskey which could choke you out if you already have lungs problems. Didn't really enjoy the food and won't be getting food from this location any time soon.

Amazing Authentic Caribbean Experience!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Coconut Palm, and it was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment I walked in, the vibrant colors and laid-back island atmosphere set the perfect tone for the meal ahead.

The menu offers a fantastic range of authentic Caribbean dishes, and everything I tried was bursting with flavor. I started with the jerk chicken, which had the perfect balance of heat and smokiness, complemented by a side of sweet plantains that were cooked to perfection. The oxtail stew was rich and savory, with tender meat that melted in my mouth.

The highlight for me was the seafood platter—fresh, flavorful, and seasoned just right. It was like a tropical vacation on a plate. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity you get.

Service was top-notch as well. The staff was friendly, attentive, and eager to offer recommendations. They really made me feel welcome and ensured I had a great dining experience.

If you're looking for an authentic Caribbean culinary adventure, Coconut Palm is a must-visit. Whether you're craving spicy jerk dishes or comforting stews, this place delivers on all fronts. I'll definitely be back...

I was extremely disappointed in this restaurant. I wanted soup from a caribbean based place, so I ordered chicken soup. If you're West Indian, you know what chicken soup is supposed to look like. When I got home and opened my food the soup looked like that from the chinese restaurant (like wonton soup). I was in disbelief. Then, I remembered while I was waiting and was wondering what was taking so long the server went to the kitchen of the restaurant for about 5 minutes and I recalled an Asian woman running in the restaurant to the kitchen area herself, which was so odd to me. Im now inferring that they ordered the soup from the Chinese restaurant and served it to me. I was so mad and just threw the entire soup in the garbage. Waste of time and money. In addition I ordered Jerk Chicken Lo Mein. It was just chicken with a store bought jerk sauce. Its not authetic to the West Indian cuisine in which this place markets itself as. This is why I stick to what I know and rarely try new things, but I had to write this review. Dont waste your time. I highly DO...

Personally one of my favorite spots for Caribbean / Guyanese-Chinese food. It's your standard fare of lo mein, fried rice, and a variety of other food items, but also has a great selection of Curry and food items for large get-togethers. The one reason that I don't give the place 5 stars is due to the slow service that you can encounter at times. The bartender's are more focused on drinking patrons at the bar rather than food for takeout, and sometimes that is very apparent in the way that you are greeted or the speed at which you are addressed. I get that they are probably trolling for tips, but even prior to the pandemic, there was a need for improvement in this particular area. Call ahead, give them like 40 minutes (even when they say 15-20) to prepare your food, and hopefully it will be waiting for you at the bar when...
