Absolutely would not recommend this doctors office! Iāve been a patient for 4 years and have never had a smooth or successful visit. Usually itās just been long wait times and feelings rushed whenever I ask a doctor questions regarding my reproductive health.
Office manager BARBARA OCCHIOGROSSO refused to provide me with legally mandated services covered by my health insurance. She refused to speak with me and kept having 3 other staff members inform me that I had to pay an incorrectly billed balance of $50 (from my appointment 2 weeks ago that had to be rescheduled after I was medically unable to get my annual Pap), or reschedule again. I have NEVER been to a doctors office that refused to bill patients who explained they could not afford whatever was due at the present time. My Pap procedure is fully covered by insurance, but because I could not get my Pap at my previous appointment, they billed me for the doctors time, to go and sit and wait unclothed just to be told the doctor could not do my procedure. I would have gladly paid if I had the funds to do so.
BARBARA OCCHIOGROSSO, when she finally reluctantly agreed to speak with me because I needed more clarification of my balance due, rudely stated that it was private office policy and continued being brash and insensitive towards my situation. She said the office contacted me regarding this bill, but they had my old phone number (which I had requested to change twice, my record was never updated) and the email I received stated no contingency that I had to pay this balance or reschedule until I could pay. She stated that the outcome was not going to change and that it āwasnāt the officeās problemā that I was unable to keep requesting time off work. She accused me of āmaking a sceneā and threatened to call security desk to have me escorted out the office. I took out my phone to start recording because I was wrongfully being accused of causing a disturbance when there was not one complaint from another staff member or patient in the waiting room regarding my conversation or behavior with her. It is all on videoāI was asking her questions about why my medical services were being refused, and she said āI donāt want to talk to you anymoreā and blatantly ignored me.
Security found the situation laughable, as I was clearly not a present danger to anyone in the office and I was not being disrespectful. Because I was not allowed back in the office, I requested the security officer to please inquire if I could get a print out of my bill. BARBARA OCCHIOGROSSO gave them a hard time because I wouldnāt ājust leave.ā They took down my contact information and wrote a report of my account with this incompetent office manager. She exercised a gross level of negligence to a patientās health and refused to aid me in possible solutions, let alone communicate discrepancies in my bill. In my opinion, this office does not embody a mission dedicated to the betterment of patientsā overall health because of the discretion of this unqualified office manager for failing to communicate office policy that is not in accordance with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve seen both Dr. Miller and Paige and both were excellent doctors, very attentive, informative, and genuinely cared about my health. I want to continue seeing Paige, thatās the only reason this review isnāt 1 star. Sheās an excellent provider. But I was there a year ago for an appointment and required a 6 week follow up. I called five times and each time they couldnāt schedule me because their schedule was being re-done, or something to that affect. At that point, grab a calendar and a pencil and start scheduling the old fashioned way. I digress. This is all amid the covid pandemic so I give the benefit of the doubt, but fast forward a year and I havenāt gotten my follow up. I hope for my health and for their sake that my situation is not worse than it was then. Covid happened, I couldnāt schedule anything, my life got hectic, I gave up. I tried calling a few times between last month and this month - the phone just rings and rings until you hang up. Is there no one at the front desk?! I called over the weekend and it was a recording that the office was closed. So you know theyāre operating in the office. But call during business hours and the phone just rings. I plan on going there today in person because Iām fed up and frustrated. I get times are hard, but this is just neglect. I donāt get it. Iāve tried finding other numbers online, calling NYP, I got transferred to three different people, none of whom could help. What...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI never do reviews because I feel like everyone encounters experiences completely different. However, this is unacceptable. I called to make an appointment I am a new patient. The lady answers the phone she seemed miserable as if she does not like her job, ( I get it these are some hard times and people would like to be safe at home) So I gave her the benefit of doubt. I said i will like to make an appointment I a a new patient. She asked have you been here before? I said no. She then asks what insurance do you have? I tell Her my Insurance she says please hold. I am on hold for a 10 min, she then get back to the phone reintroduces herself and I then say I was waiting I am a new patient trying to make an appointment. She then sighs and says please wait. I am now put on hold again. I was on the phone for almost 20 min all together when she comes back on and says please call back later I cant make your appointment at this time. I ask what is the problem she states I am overwhelm with patients at the moment. This encounter to me is a red flag, it may not be the doctors but the staff in the front desk need customer training, multitasking management. I mean if this is the experience just to book an appointment. I will spear myself the trouble of being a patient. Again, I don't ever due reviews however this really caught me good. I hope that the reviews are seen by the Managing staff so that they an grow from the...
