Compton’s is hands-down my go-to sandwich spot! I tried the Turkey Crunch once and never looked back—it’s officially my signature order now. Every time I get it, it’s made perfectly proportional with the right crunch, flavor, and balance. What really sets this place apart, though, is the incredible homey service. You can tell it’s a well-run, family-oriented shop where the people actually care. Big shoutout to Sam, the cashier, who always greets me with a warm smile and genuine kindness. That small touch of hospitality keeps me coming back just as much as the food. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for something fresh, comforting, and made with care!

TLDR: New sandwich spot in the Whitestone/Beechurst area. The chicken parms are my favorite. Spicy vodka. I didn't really know what Compton's was but I welcome a new sandwich concept to the area. Apparently this is originally from Astoria. I've only gotten delivery but the stuff I've had I liked. Personally the spicy vodka parm is my favorite. It's saucy enough, not too much cheese - a generous cutlet. We've got a bunch of other things including a caesar chicken sandwich, turkey, etc. Definitely like the spicy vodka the best though. If time permits, will go hit it up in-person one day.

Compton’s has just opened a new location in Beechhurst, Queens, following the success of their original spot in Astoria. Nestled in a quiet residential area behind a pool club, the setting offers a peaceful vibe. While the service was a bit slow, despite being the only customer at the time, the food more than made up for it. I tried the Reuben with pastrami, though they had run out of rye bread and substituted it with Texas toast. The flavors were on point, though the portion was a bit smaller than expected. Still, it’s a solid choice for a tasty meal in the area.

I just had to respond to a previous bad review of Compton’s Whitestone citing the TV tuned to FOX News channel. The tv referred to is placed in the clubhouse section of our apartment complex. That is a separate location for coop members to watch football, eat, talk, etc, maintained by employees not affiliated with the restaurant. I think it was also the day Trump was elected, so those residents may have been interested in listening to it. That was one day, and again nothing to do with the restaurant. The restaurant has another section with their own TV and football was on it. It is apparent that this may have been reviewer’s first time ever in the place, clubhouse or restaurant. As for myself, I am in the restaurant everyday, sometimes more than once, as their food is that good. Also the people behind the counter have become like friends and are very generous, friendly, and accommodating. The restaurant is clean, the food is fresh, the service is attentive. If said person was so upset with sitting in that section, why didn’t he/she sit outside on the patio overlooking the water if he/she were so perturbed by it? There are three tables outside(no TV), two tables inside (football on tv) and the ones in the clubhouse (with FOX TV that day). Many to choose from. And take out. The coop decides on the TV she referred to, not the restaurant. I’m suspicious as to the reason the review was given, but it wasn’t for the food, service, or the atmosphere. I give them 5 stars for food, service, atmosphere. Enter through...
