The positive: the food, once we finally got it, was good as were the drinks and the DJ. Nice DJ but it was blasting so loud you literally can barely hold a conversation. Had a reservation for 5:15 the hostess told us brunch just ended (at 5 😳) and there would a 45 minute wait until dinner started—seems a bit silly but no worries, keep in mind she is eating a full plate of food at the host stand. She assured us that we can be seated and order drinks while we waited. We waited for 40 minutes before anyone even spoke to us and that was only because we finally spoke to him. We voiced how ridiculous it was to keep us waiting for so long without acknowledging us or putting water on the table. Keep in mind another couple came in after us and right away received service (water, ordered food and drinks). The waiter said the hostess was new and we shouldn’t have been seated during the transition over from brunch. When we highlighted the table literally next to us had cocktails and appetizers, he made up an excuse while arguing with my friend. No offer to make it right with a complimentary first drink nothing, still not even a cup of water. Finally after 6:15 we were able to order and the food itself was good. The bar kept running out of basic alcohol of their “most popular drinks” so they kept sending someone out to get more. The restaurant was nicely decorated but literally our table was dirty, rice all over the table and floor three tables next to us hadn’t been bussed for the 45 minutes we spent waiting and floors in general were literally littered with trash, my friend had to send her cutlery back. It’s honestly a shame, this has the potential to be a cool restaurant on a side of town that doesn’t have too many restaurants like that but man the service is TERRIBLE. Another couple next to us literally waited an hour with no food and when it finally came out only after they complained, they just took it to go, another couple the guy was literally arguing with the same waiter we had. For a almost $200 bill you would think the service would be better—this was the first time ever I refused to tip. Oh and the waiter just takes your card and literally disappeared for 20 minutes. The food is good but so is the food at your local Jamaican food restaurant. Only stayed to try and support a local black owned business but I’ll take my money elsewhere next time, better yet go to social corner...

First and foremost, as a business owner I never left a negative review in my life because I understand how crucial it is to a business. However, this review is warranted.

My cousins wife chose this restaurant based on Tik tok reviews to celebrate his graduation. They flew in from TEXAS for this graduation. She booked a 4pm reservation and paid a $250 deposit. When we arrived at 4pm the restaurant was closed and we had to wait outside.

Once we entered around 4:15 I ordered 4 drinks. The waiter came back 30 mins later to let us know that the bartender officially arrived and asked me to repeat the drinks order which didn’t arrive until 5pm.

We had a pre fixed menu based on the discussion while making the reservation with Vanessa, the waiter gave us the wrong menu twice and told us that the the person booking reservations discussed a menu that was just implemented this week and they didn’t actually have?

We ordered food after receiving drinks and did not get food until 7pm. My cousin got his appetizer the same time as his entree, we had to wait 30 mins for honey mustard (which I had to ask about twice) . I had to ask the person in charge of seating to order another round of drinks bc the waiter was NOT checking on us. They gave us 3 glasses of water for a party of 8. We also had to ask a different waiter to remove empty plates.

Please keep in mind, we were the first people to arrive to the restaurant but people who arrived after us were eating prior to us.

We had a cake delivered and they charge a $45 fee to cut the cake. The waiter did not bring any utensils and I ended up eating the cake with my HANDS.

Also, we had to ask them to apply the deposit of $250 to the bill. We didn’t leave the restaraunt until 8:30 because of all the delays which is ridiculous for a 4pm reservation.

This restaurant is solely good for aesthetic and lacks in every other area. The appetizers were good but the entrees were not, the service is beyond terrible and do NOT recommend anyone going here unless you want to...

Where do I even begin? On April 12th 2025 my family and I had the absolute pleasure of having my aunt and cousin birthday celebration at the Cove restaurant. From the moment I spoke to Miss Beverly one of the Cove manager I knew this was going to be and event and experience that would be very memorable. Miss. Beverly was very patient, very attentive very concerned that we got everything we wanted to make that day very special for all parties involve. The process was very smooth especially planning for a party of 24. Upon arrival, I met a beautiful young lady by the name of Shauna who greeted my family With a beautiful smile, she definitely was the hostess with the mostess. We felt so at home. The atmosphere was everything the music that was playing. Put you into a vibe. You just knew you were about to have a great time and we did. The d j was phenomenal, played old and current music for everyone likeness. We were all dancing in and out of our seats..lol the team at the cove restaurant, the young man by the name of Mario was one of our servers. He is one of the nicest person I've had the pleasure to meet. He made sure we weren't in need of anything and it wasn't just him. He had a small team working with them, and they all were so caring and considerate.They made sure We weren't lacking or in need of anything. They knew when to come in and to check on us without overly doing it where you still had time to just relax and talk to your family and friends . We never not once felt like we were being rushed. Now, as for the food, I am still lickin my fingers and the pallets in my mouth is still tasting every seasoning.Tenderness of the meat and the freshness of everything we ate that night. Hats off to your chef, he did a phenomenal job. Everyone in our party that night said the food was just amazing. Thank you so much for hosting us and having us at you restaurant. We will definitely be back. Thank you for such a great time. My family and I...
