Such a bad experience for our first time eating here, driving from the bronx.
BAD- I ordered my food the same time as my mother, but didn't get served til 20 mins after her dish came out. My fish was warm, vegetables, plantain, and rice and peas were cold. We spoke to the manager who gave my waitress my plate back. It took anther 10 to 15 min to get a new plate of hot food back, and some how she forgot vegetables and plantain all together, and were the cold item on my plate. Also, I must mention my Moscow mule. I told her as soon as recieved my drink there was no alcohol in my drink, she replied that the ginger beer was strong and that was why I could not taste it! I should have said "Lady if you don't stop lieing." My mother was still waiting for her main course during all of this. She waited 25 to 20 minutes for her meal after I recieved my remade dish. Her dish came with warm vegetables as well, cold unseasoned mashed potatoes. She was so upset and just wanted to leave. So we got a togo container.
WORST- our bill came and I was charged for a side dish of bammie I never recieved dispite asking twice for it. The menu online and in the restaurant stated my fish dish was 23.94, but on the bill I was changed to 26.00. When I made her aware of both issues, I was told it was management who made the change to the price, and dispite my pointing out the fact the online price and the paper menu said 23.95, she said it's 26.00 both of those were wrong and it's a management change. She would only remove the dish that never came.
As a person that worked the resturant industry for 7 plus years I've never seen such lack of customer service. This is a disappointment coming...
   Read moreThis was a terrible dining experience all together. The service is -10/10. We had a reservation for 8:30 pm and we arrived their SECURITY told us there wasnât a reservation for us. Security and host/hostess are 2 different positions, so our party of 4 was confused as to how âwe didnât have a reservationâ when we spoke to someone an hour before about our reservation time. The ACTUAL hostess came and we were seated. The place looks nice, but the service is terrible. We waited over an hour to place an entree order. Not to receive the food, but to PLACE AN ORDER. Ridiculous. This was already AFTER we waited 30 minutes for our appetizers to come out. As I stated before we had a party of 4. Only 2 plates came out and 1 side order. One of the entrees was incorrect but since we waited so long we just decided to ask for the bill because 2 hours have passed at this point. When the waitress comes back she tells us she didnât forget about the 3rd entree, but the chef in the back said âhe donât have time to make a saladâ. Absolutely disgusting behavior and disgraceful service. The 3rd entree that we did not receive was their Caribbean SaladâŠon their menuâŠ.listed under the entree offersđ€, so you could imagine all of our confusion when we heard this.i spoke to the manager and she offered a free cake since it was our mothers birthday dinner and to speak to the chef. The bill came up to $252 with automatic gratuity/service charge as expected. For an establishment to automatically charge gratuity for parties 2 and more, their customer service should be up to par.    Read moreMy recent dining experience at your establishment was a huge disappointment . While I have enjoyed previous visits, my experience on this occasion fell significantly short of expectations.
Our party experienced an unacceptable delay in receiving our food, waiting over two hours for our main courses. Furthermore, the appetizers we ordered were never delivered, and we were only informed of their unavailability after a considerable wait. This lack of communication was frustrating and disruptive to our evening.
Additionally, the lychee martini we ordered was of poor quality. The lychee juice tasted old and rancid, rendering the drink undrinkable.
Finally, we were surprised and concerned by the imposition of a service charge for parties of two. When we inquired about this charge with a manager, identifying himself as MATTO, his response was unprofessional and unhelpful. Claiming the service charge is for the staff in kitchen to get paid, « In other words a tip for them » His demeanor lacked the courtesy and welcoming attitude we expect from establishment staff.
