This review is for the restaurant portion of this establishment only. To begin, we were given a "20-30 minute" wait time for a table for 2. 30 minutes turned into an hour, and the hostess still had to look for a table to seat us. Once we were seated, we looked over the menu and waited. A server approached our table and began to place meals in front of us before I informed him that we hadn't ordered anything as yet. 10 minutes later, a family of 3 was seated at the table next to us. Within 5 minutes, they were approached by a waitress. That same waitress then came to us. I asked if there was a reason why the other table was served before us when we were there first. She stated, "We thought you guys were leaving." 🤔. We then place our food and drink orders. Our waitress returned and notified us that they had "ran out of Hennessey and didn't have the ingredients for the Jamaican Mai Tai 🤦🏾♀️. Any establishment located in the ENY portion of Brooklyn should understand the demographic they'd be catering to. You should Never Run Out of Henny. While waiting for our food, we noticed a number of meals going to the wrong tables before finding their place. We received our appetizers, and finally, things seemed fine. Then, we received our entrées. There was a long strand of hair on my plate. We sat there in shock before considering the fact that it could have very well been my own hair. However, considering the placement, I'd have had to have leaned halfway across the table for that to be possible. We called over our waitress (who also had long hair) and notified her of the situation. She immediately moved her hair off her shoulders to the back, which raised some eyebrows. The manager was also notified and comped us for both of the entrées while replacing mine. Of course, now I'm ready to leave; it's time to pay. Our waitress comes and leaves us with the machine to process card payments. While looking for a card, the machine timed out. Our waitress is nowhere to be found. 7 minutes go by, and we are still waiting. As you can imagine, thoughts of just walking out without paying for anything are running rampant. However we stay put. She returns and has to swipe the card three times before the machine registers. Nightmare of an outing, we're watching transaction activity on the card to catch duplicate charges. I will say good job to the chef, as all the food we did eat...
Read moreThe staff in this place are dreadful. I think the friendliest person, had to been security. And security is suppose to be daunting. So the fact that the other employees simply work there lazily and lifeless, was an annoying experience. I wouldn’t bring kids here if that’s the attitudes they’re going to get from the people that work here. This branch staff needs a customer service training because man, pitiful. I gave 2 stars because the games and set up is quite nice. But if i had to deal with some garbage service while getting food, forget about it. I sat at the bar and was not greeted. Not given any menus. And when i asked a question about the food i received, i was given an attitude and she made it seem like i was stupid for asking about a missing item from my plate that was stated on the menu. The conversations amongst the other staff must be important, more than serving customers. I can understand busy, but there was not a lot of traffic and circulation going on at the bar. So for the staff to act like so arrogant like that, and as if it was a disturbance to ask them for anything, was such an annoying experience. These employees work their wages & want respectful tips, but they don’t give respectful service. Please review your employee line up at this branch because, it’s sad. Also to mention, when asking an employee where the restrooms were, it was such a disruption to interrupt the conversations, to ask a question. Not to be a grinch and picky person, but the staff really have no respect here. Because even at the prize section, the girl was so dull and just scanned our items and left as if we was disturbing her for her checking out our items. Literally the best part is to cash out the game card tickets and the staff made it seem like it was such a drag to deal with us when there was no traffic of people or children going on. So to respect that it wasn’t busy and that’s the treatment we were getting was disappointing, because it would be understanding if it was chaotic but it was a very chill night. So there shouldn’t be any excuse for depressing staff and dull...
Read moreI've been trying to give this particular Dave and Buster's a few chances. But today is the final straw. Two days ago I went to take a take out order and it just went downhill. I got the wrong order was charged for the right order did not receive my French fries by the time I got home it was just it was just horrible. I tried calling corporate which gave me their phone number to the local store. I called two times to try to reach the manager both times I got a recording. Today I went in with my receipt and the food the whole order that they got wrong. I was met by the assistant manager who while made making me wait was telling an obnoxious joke to what I felt was a teenage waitress. Very unappropriate. After explaining to him that I was a veteran and that this order was completely wrong. I explained that I didn't want the order now what I wanted was my money back. And it just went downhill from there. On the receipt there is no place that says that they do not refund cash. As far as I know if you pay with cash and you don't like you were supposed to get paid cash back. Or if you paid with your card they put it back on the card. If I had used my credit card I would have just called the company and disputed the purchase. But anyway manage a very rude very rude very nasty very nasty he finally just turned and walked away from me as in dismissing me leaving the food on the counter. I have called corporate and I am waiting for a response. I highly recommend you go someplace else. This particular Dave and Busters in Brooklyn is just nasty and management is just as nasty as the day is long. Update after getting in contact with the NYState attorneys office, I filed a complaint, I was sent a letter from them saying that it was my fault because I did not have my reciept. But in fact I brought back all of the food and I had my reciept. I went back in and was given my cash back. If a reciept was needed, All the manager had to do was one look at the cameras from the day before, then checked yesterdays reciepts. As...
