Douglaston Deli — Restaurant in New York

Old school style. Been coming here since way before Yelp. Maybe 20 years or so. They have everything and it's all good. I choose from the limited lunch tray selection. Maybe add a German potato salad (I prefer it to the ordinary kind).

There is no seating, so bring your truck. If you're on foot just plan to eat and walk. Get a hero.

The prices are in line with food today. Compared to 20 years ago they have gone up the same as everything. But expect to break $10 for lunch with a drink.

The same counter people have been serving me for a long time so if supporting a local business or seeing the same faces are important to you then this deli...

You get what you pay for in these neighborhoods, and while this deli might price a thing or two above the competition, the service, skills and food are a cut above the rest. I can save a dollar and get a disappointing sandwich that was made wrong or with cheap ingredients in Bayside, or I can have a sandwich that is so good it makes literally makes my day. It’s an easy choice at this point. Best guys behind the counter, with decades of experience, and good will. Save yourself the frustration with the other delis around little neck, Douglaston and Bayside, and call in your next lunch...

Absolutely disgusting! I went there yesterday for the most basic sandwich, chicken cutlet Mayo and cheese on a hero, I couldn’t eat half yesterday and I wasn’t sure why… today I decided to finish my other half and I DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT TYPE OF CHICKEN THIS IS I can’t even chew it, it’s not edible and I feel sick to my stomach!!! Would never eat here again. Paid $17 for this… and it’s going to the trash and now I have to waste more money on...
