My daughter has been attending the school since 2015; she plays piano (I mean plays the piano!!!) and her skills et has gotten from “plays general songs/elevator music” to “classical pianist.” I know everyone says “My kid is amazing;” and I can tell you that with absolute certainty that “My kid is amazing” in expressing her musical talent and it is because of this school. Ms. Rita and Ms. Anna are phenomenal in their teaching and the staff that the team have brought on have an inate ability to bring the best of musical ability out of your children - Mr. Andrew has been working with my daughter throughout all of covid and she is now playing Claire De Lune LIKE A PRO!!!! Her teacher is so patient with her and knows how to get her motivated. We have lesson remotely and it seems to be okay so far. I don’t feel that my daughter’s learning has slowed down at all. My daughter practices on her own and always try to get better so she can learn to play new songs. Aside from her wonderful teacher, the school is very accommodating in terms of working with the parents on scheduling. The school also helped picked her song for her NYSSMA grade 1 evaluation.. my daughter got a perfect score. COVID-19 hit a week after my daughter started with just one week of face-to-face instruction. Virtual classes were quickly developed for 1:1 piano instruction as well as small-group theory lesson. These virtual classes are invaluable in bringing sense of normalcy during the shutdown. Of course, virtual classes can never replace in-person instruction, but the effort of the owners must be commended.
