Dunkin' — Restaurant in New York

I am writing to share a deeply concerning incident regarding food safety at this location from about a month ago. After I placed my order, another customer accidentally took my iced coffee and drank from it. They were kind enough to alert the staff to their mistake.

However, I was shocked to overhear the manager—an older lady in a hijab—instruct her staff to simply pour out the remaining drink and refill the same used cup to serve to me. This cup had been drunk from by a stranger and had a straw hole in the lid.

I had to intervene and specifically request that they use a new, clean cup. While they complied after I spoke up, the initial decision to reuse a contaminated cup is a major violation of basic health standards. This is not only unhygienic but also dangerous. It's not very common that I review a business like DD, however this location is an exception to it because they have outstanding service. I have breakfast here almost everyday, and have had for over 1 year now, it's on my way to the office and they already know my order which is usually medium iced latte regular milk one Splenda + egg white flatbread veggie. I don't have to say anything, they already know it.

My point is, they always have a BIG smile and serve everything in less than 1 minute. I can always see they are very enthusiastic about exceeding customers expectations and these people know and understand the value time for others has.

I wish many other businesses (especially in that area!) took note of their good service and made it a model to follow.

Terrible service, the manager here is horrible. I ordered a caramel iced latte. It's not my fault you don't have patience to train your trainee and attend customers. I never said put cream in my iced latte. I said WHIPPED CREAM. And she started to argue and screamed about my order, saying she asked 5 times. And those 5 times i said whip cream. I said I wanted a refund, and she gave it to me, throwing the money and slamming the cash register. Transfer her somewhere else, demote her, or just fire her.
