El Buen Sazon Restaurant & Deli — Restaurant in New York

This review isn’t for the food but the nice behavior i received at the restaurant.

I’m not from the area. I actually live near the Queens / Nassau neighborhood. My car broke down near Zerega and Bruckner on Sunday 12/17. It was freezing cold at night. After walking almost 10 mins, I found the restaurant. I was little zone out

The front lady with the laptop was probably the nicest woman I’ve met in my NYC life. It almost felt like I was at some suburb outside NY. Normally you don’t meet this kind of people in NYC. She was very kind. She even agreed to charge my phone as it ran out of battery.

Wasn’t the best experience. Ordered a lunch and asked how long it would take for tostones. They said 4-5 mins. Waited 10. A lot of talking in the back and people eating behind the counter which makes customer wait time longer. If you want mojito for your order of tostones be expected to pay extra. (Which in Spanish restaurants typically, that’s included with the order) I wanted to support a small business under new management, but service and experience lacked. Im a truck OTR truck driver and I was waiting to be unloaded near by 5 minutes walking distance. Place closes at 6 it was like 5.45 and I was hungry so I decided to go for it and see if I make it before closing. As I walked up the gate was going down half way and this nice lady saw me and raised the gate back up. It was so nice of her. I tried their baked chicken and rice it was amazing cooked to perfection. If I'm ever around in the area definitely going there...
