If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would. My party arrived hoping to celebrate a birthday, but instead left disappointed and angry. 4 of us stood there waiting patiently as everyone in the restaurant, staff and customers, stared at us and no waiter or hostess or even the bartender came to greet us, ask us if we’d like to be seated, or even reached out to another staff member. We walked around, looking for any sign of a staff member to acknowledge us, and we were ignored. We walked outside and were in the front of the restaurant looking for another place to go when we watched as another group came in and were immediately greeted and waited on by a staff member who was sitting down and had just watched us come in looking for seating and leave. It was utterly ridiculous, unprofessional, and frankly racist (my party was mainly women of color— the party that came after us was a group of white people). I would never...

I was going to hold off on writing this review but had to after experiencing the same thing again. I was here on New Years and found myself surrounded by toddlers which I found extremely odd for a bar and noticed that many adults seemed to be uncomfortable as well due to their noise and being watched by the children. While I understand that everyone needs a moment to decompress, especially parents I believe bars that welcome kids should do a better job at making sure that the atmosphere isnt to the annoyance of other patrons. It was also extremely late and I do believe laws permit children in bars after a certain hour. I recently came back and also encountered kids no older than 4 present. If you're looking for a place to chill that's more adult friendly(which makes no sense for a bar) i'd probably stick with Bar Americano or Twins Lounge on Manhattan. Adults dont go to bars to see or hear...

Elder green has great food and pretty good drinks. I've been there a few times and I've always enjoyed it. Unfortunately the bar is always understaffed with just one person handling bartending, serving and bussing. Our food and drinks were on point last night but the bartender wouldn't hand us a box for the leftovers. This was the case with the table next to us as well and the couple left with a lot of food at a table. They were doing takeout orders at the same time so it wasn't like they were out of containers. The bartender, who did a great job with the drinks, did not acknowledge our requests for a take out container. It's a pity as the food is really good and it had to be thrown out. IMO this is more of a management issue and there needs to be at least a server in addition to...

Food was amazing and the staff was so nice and attentive. My friend and I asked out waiter David for some recommendations on what to choose. He suggested the Brussels sprouts and fried chicken sandwich which was amazing. We also had the fried pickles which were the best I’ve ever had. The Brussels sprouts come with some dressing on it and the blue cheese is such a nice touch of flavor. For drinks our waiter also recommended the rude mood drink which was very delicious (I love mescal) def get if you like mescal. I’ve always driven by this place so glad I finally stopped by will definitely be coming back for more yummy food. Also I would love to add that even the chef came out to ask if my dog had enough water. I appreciated that. 💛

Had dinner here last night, (4th of July), and had a pleasant experience. The menu is mostly bar food and appropriately and reasonably priced. I had the Turkey Club for food and a few signature cocktails. The apple slices in the sandwich was a nice touch. For cocktails I had the Way Back When, Get in the Ring, and Alfie Aged Rum Old Fashioned. My favorite was the Get in the Ring, I like spicy, and the Jalapeno infused tequila had a bite. The service was good, I sat down and was brought water, they took my other and brought out a carafe of water that I could use to refill myself.

I love this place. I've been coming here a few years now. I had a review written but today I did rating separately and it was deleted. The food here is very good. The first thing I ate here was the Popcorn Chicken and it was very good, it wasn't overly breaded. Their Calamari is also good and the Marinara that comes with it is delicious. Everything I've eaten here is good. The drinks are good also. The service is wonderful. The space is nice and gives a warm vibe. The prices are good. This is my favorite bar/restaurant in Greenpoint and maybe even beyond Greenpoint.
