Cool place to hangout with friends and enjoy locally brewed beer!

What's cool about this place is the fact they make their own beer and ciders - the choices are great in terms of variety (pilsner, IPA, ale, lager, stout, cider) and as well in terms of sizes (starting from 5 oz = approx. 150 ml all the way to the larger jugs), so everyone finds something to their liking. However I missed a tasting menu option, to simply select several small sized beers to try. That would be such a cool addition to the menu!

When it came to food I was not particularly happy, not because of the selection, but because of the prices - they are on a higher note and as an example $24 for fish and chips seemed a bit too steep (even though the portion looked big). So as a beer snack I had chili in a cup covered with cheese, which was absolutely perfect and as a dessert key lime pie - delicious, rich, tasty and not too sweet.

The atmosphere was cool and hip, mostly filled with a younger crowd. When it got busy later in the afternoon it also got extremely loud, to the point we could not hear each other talk. It became uncomfortable at some point. I would also recommend an advanced reservation with a possibility to sit outside in one of the street seating areas. Service was great, friendly and attentive.

I hosted a party in the Studio on the second floor, and everything honestly exceeded my expectations. The space was so cute -- the perfect vibes for an intimate, salon-style party (e.g,. we played some acoustic music and read some poetry throughout the evening). We had about 30-35 people there, and it still felt spacious enough to move around easily. The sound system was great, the lighting was super cute -- everything was so seamless and easy! And our guests absolutely loved the space. They were snapping pictures in front of the fun wallpaper all night.

We ordered some snacks from the catering option, which they set up buffet style for us. These were great! We opted for the cheese board, fries, and veggies, which were the perfect finger snacks. We were able to bring our own cake, which they brought up later in the evening. In addition, we had our own private bartender all night who was awesome (thanks, Candace!). Also, big shoutout to Nick, who was running the event that even. He made us feel welcome and definitely had our back all evening.

I highly recommend this spot for a party! You'll feel like such an artsy, cool host, and your friends will definitely feel like they're going to...

Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiire. Deadass flames. That burger was wavy af, and they got the flavors on point. Yo tell me how their beer taste actually good? Facts! Yo if you in the hood you owe it to yourself to actually be in the mix and get yourself a meal there. The spot is mad cool, mad low lighting, playing the flyest rap music that'd make your mom think she was smoother than anderson paak. Crowd is your typical Greenpoint mix of TV type people that you'd assume makes up New York but that's whatever you know because the magic of this place got all different types of crowd just cooling with each other even in this frosty af weather. Bartenders are just killing it out here too, good conversation, not pretentious and good at their jobs.

In an effort to be impartial I only really noticed three things that made me go hmm, one there's a small disco ball in the center of the room, two you got to order at the bar which would be a problem if it was a super crowded environment but then I remembered that I'm an adult who can walk four feet to actually order his own food and drink, and three the napkins we're on the other side...

I have been to both locations and like the larger venue in Gowanus. The Franklin Street bar is a great place to catch a good band with delicious bites and beer/alcoholic beverages I just found it a little too loud. The bartender is great and was at both locations. Knowledgeable, goes out of his way to make sure your taken care of and funny. Great place to hang out. I will be back to visit the Gowanus location their music venue is upstairs and the bar and restaurant are downstairs. Excellent design and fantastic selections. You can get smaller glasses, flight like, and taste a number of their house beers. Really cool vibe. The pictures are mainly from the Gowanus location.

We had a wonderful time celebrating my husband’s graduation from fellowship here. The communication from Dave and Angie was superior. They were accommodating and so helpful. We used the saloon, a private space upstairs that was perfect for the occasion. They also added small details without extra charge that included a chalkboard sign and custom drink menu- both which were such nice touches we really appreciated. The open bar option was great-great drinks and not over the top overpriced. The food was also delicious and came out on top and there was plenty of food. Overall it was a great place for our event and I would definitely recommend it to others for parties.
