Ahh, this place. Been coming here for 21 years and never stopped. Fillmores is a very tiny place. Bad parking, there's never a place to park. Small bar area, and small dining area, which could probably only seat about 25-30 patrons. But, the staff is incredibly friendly and at their best. Shannon D. a previous waitress was my favorite and sometimes does the Saturday shift. Such a nice woman, if she's there, ask to have her as your waitress. Suzanna is also a very nice waitress, attentive, and extremely friendly to cater to your needs.
Fillmores has a small menu, and some of the food on the menu is the best in the state of New York, and some of the food on the menu isn't worth $3. It's all dependent on what you order. The soups and meats are phenomenal, especially the French Onion Soup and the Blackened Steak. The blackened steak at Fillmores is the best steak you'll have. The starters are excellent too, especially the wings and onion rings. STAY AWAY from the chicken and pasta dishes, I believe these dishes were frozen and microwaved, because they're very hard and not fresh at all.
And, Fillmores had management changes recently, which has caused a spike in the prices of food, but I consider it roughly reasonable. Not too expensive, but you'll spend a decent amount of money in there. You also have an option of becoming Fillmore's member, which is a free membership and you add up points each time you dine there. Eventually, you'll stack up enough points to get a $25.00 credit on your next meal. (Bring cash, Fillmores deducts a 3% fee for using cash instead of credit. It does make a difference.)
Overall, if you can deal with some frozen chicken and a small bar atmosphere, but want to dive into some GREAT steaks and soups, and GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, at an average price, come...
Read moreI always crave potato skins so I order them often. I prefer for them to be the perfect ratio of potato to fixings. I also prefer the potato to be thinner so they get crispy around the edges and add to the texture of the crispness to the bacon but we all have our preferences.
Now don’t get me wrong the potato skins from here are still delicious and I did order them to go so it’s a possibility from the steam they may have gotten a little more moisture to them.
Fillmore’s takes a potato cuts it in half and possibly deep fries it and continues making them but keep in mind like I said a traditional potato skin is supposed to be crispy and thinner. Now on the other hand, they do give a good amount of bacon and cheese on them so that’s a plus. They also give a great amount of sour cream with them so they’re doing that part right lol You can’t eat potato skins without a good amount of sour cream on them, that’s just not American! Ha I’m kidding.
Would I order them again? Yes absolutely but just keep in mind what I’ve stated. Thin and crispy you won’t get them here now thicker cut and...
Read moreUnfortunate end to nice meal. In town visiting my son, his girlfriend and their 2 year old baby, and went to Fillmore's for dinner. Linda was great and took good care of us. At the end of the meal, we were paying and wrapping up and the baby was getting a little loud as kids do. The manager/owner (I guess) came to us to say the baby was disturbing the other diners (in the almost empty restaurant on a Thursday night). Then he proceeded to watch us as we paid and packed up. I tipped Linda well because of her service but I wouldn't waste my time going back. The food was average and whoever it was that came over to us didn't even bother to talk to my son but waited until he walked away to speak to his girlfriend. He was rude and abrupt and it was unnecessary, as we were leaving. Not a family place. I would rate it one star but Linda gets a...
