Dr Ellen Gutkins is one of the top G.I doctors I have ever had. She knows what she is talking about and goes above and beyond for her patients to make sure they are ok. She literally saved my life twice that I don't think she understands how she did the first time. I'm truly grateful to have her and that hospital should be too! I've been to almost all the hospitals in Nyc just not Staten Island...Queens,Brooklyn, Manhattan.. especially mount sinai and she is still the best out of every Dr I've seen. I practically lived in hospitals until her. She did every test for me and got to the root of the problem. I even had G.I Drs give up on me and just told me take pain killers to feel better or just go to the emergency room because they didn't know what to do with me. I felt helpless until her. She keeps testing me to make sure I am good and gives me her best advice. I trust hercompletely and Thankful she is MY DOCTOR! Thank Dr Gutkins for the love and care for all of us. I don't normally like to give reviews but I feel that this is important. People that need Dr. Ellen Gutkin services should know how negligent the office is. This is a medical office with negligent employees that work with no supervision. I was supposed to have two procedures today. Unfortunately they cancelled my appointment stating that my insurance had not approved the procedure. I then call my insurance and ask why this happend and they replied by letting me know they had just recieved the order. The insurance company stated that Doctors and their secretaries know its a process to get procedures approved, so they need to put in the order ahead of time. I should also mention Dr.Gutkin’s office had me run a COVID-19 test that cost me $80 and had me buy all the medicine that I needed to take the day before...

Dr. Ellen Gutkin is a wonderful, intelligent and excellent Gastroenterologist. She is also caring, compassionate, gentle, friendly and explains in detail what is going on with your health and answers all your questions expertly. All of Dr. Gutkin’s surgical team and office staff are so nice too. Everyone greets you with a smile and makes you feel welcomed.
