Fountain Of Youth Juice Bar — Restaurant in New York

I’ve been juicing on and off for about 5 years. Every so often I complete a 3,7 or 21 day juice fast. Needless to say I’ve been juicing the same recipe for years. Kale, cucumber, celery, green apples, ginger and lemon. Today I decided to go to FOY because juicing is a tedious task and I didn’t have time to juice at home before work. I ordered the green refresher and subbed out the pineapple for a little ginger. When I left the establishment I realized that I paid $7+ for a warm, brownish looking sweet/sour concoction that they came up with. It tasted and looked like they used sour/ brown apples. I didn’t taste any cucumber, kale or celery (I can normally taste all the ingredients when I make it at home). Don’t even try to call and ask for a remake or refund because they will turn you away. I’m really disappointed because I’m a minority who tries to focus on supporting small black owned businesses, especially ones in my community. When you’re overcharged, receive low quality products and service it seems like they don’t really care about the community. They honestly should be in Manhattan or Long Island if they’re going to charge $7 for a 10oz cup of fresh BROWN juice. Poor Service, steep Prices. I was an early supporter but now things have changed so I have to tell it like it is. I was not greeted by the worker at the register she was dealing with a customer made eye contact with me but never said a word to me. I took a seat and was patient. Soon after someone else walked in and was promptly addressed. I saw that my time or patronage wasn’t respected so I left immediately. I really urge folks to buy their own juicer, fruits and veggies rather than over pay for GMO JUICES . businesses like this only exist and maintain because of the community. For a long time supporter to be faced with actions that can be perceived as bias shows that a lot needs to be addressed when it comes customer service. You lost a customer but thanks for making me take initiative when it comes to my health. I can drink healthy for a week for what I spend on two of your drinks...

First time checking out this popular Juice Bar that’s been in the community for 13 years. Well better late than never as this quaint little spot is for the health conscious vegetarian & pescatarian. Tons of fresh pressed juicing options in various combinations even for the most picky.

Their “Jerk Plaintain patty” is just ridiculous it’s so good. And if you’ve got a natural sweet tooth like me, their freshly made muffins are just scrumptious like the carrot. You can thank me later.
