Just one of the Franky's Souvlaki trucks, this one is parked on the side just off the road just off the Cross Island Parkway. Popular spot for the locals and anybody who passes by. We got the pork gyro platter, a chicken gyro and a Greek sausage. Everything single thing tasted divine and is the perfect thing to eat if you're looking for comfort food. Fresh, crisp flavors from the veggies pair with the strong herby and smoky flavors of the meats. The portions are no slouch and you're bound to be full after eating either the platter of gyro here. I don't know how this place got such good ratings. Maybe I'm the outlier? But this has to be the most flavorless gyro I've ever "tasted". Put it in quotes bc it had really no taste to speak of. The sauce? Flat. Did they forget dill? chicken? Also no/gross taste.
The guy at the truck super friendly and nice. Service was quick. The food (except the chicken) though bland was fresh and generous I don't think I'll ever eat here again as I just couldn't stomach it. Maybe it's the chicken bc it tasted so off..... slight bitter taste. I'm really nauseous from it. 1.5 stars for everything else.
