I was on my way to NJ on a Tuesday night with my wife and was looking for places to have some good dinner that has a nice atmosphere. I checked best restaurants in Staten Island and Giuliana came out on top. I was skeptical about it because nowadays reviews may not be genuine sometimes. I placed a call to reserve a spot for two, the lady was very friendly on the phone and saved a table for us. Parking is plentiful around the block, we went in a the lady who reserved the spot greeted us and made sure we were happy with our seat. The front portion of the restaurant is small but they have a back area as well where the door is opened to the side street. They had pre-fix dinner that usually offers only Tues - Thurs until 8pm. Since it was Tuesday, we decided to focus on the prefix dinner. The price was extremely reasonable (around $25 per person). It includes an appetizer, main course, coffee, and cheesecake. Which is unheard-of in NY. Without much expectation, I ordered the cheese and tomato while my wife ordered Mussels with red sauce as appetizers. The portion of cheese and tomato is small but very fresh. Meanwhile the Mussels in red sauce was very good, it was fresh and no sand, the sauce was so good we dipped the bread with it. By the way, their bread is very good as well. Here came the main course, we ordered the pork chops with peppers and macaroni. They were equally great as everything is fresh and not overly salty. By the time we finished the main course, we were pretty full, but we still had to make room for the coffee and cheesecake. They had choice of Italian or American cheesecake, so we picked one of each to share. Both cheesecake are also very good but the American cheesecake is by far our favorites because of the texture. Overall, a very satisfying dinner with a Mom and pop shop feel to it. The food they offer is also very unique compared to thousands of Italian restaurants that we see in NY nowadays. Highly recommended! P.S. we ordered a cup of wine as well, it is nothing fancy. However, for $12, it is a reasonable size glass. Also, recommend bringing cash since tips has to be paid by cash. I do not know if there is any extra charge with cards.

Came here with my fiancé on a busy Saturday night. We were sat in the outdoor seating section which was the only available space and it was understandable. The outdoor section was surprisingly very warm which we loved. We ordered mixed drinks to start and when we received them they seemed very rushed and the drinks didn’t taste right. I just assumed the bar was busy and thought nothing of it. We ordered our main entrees, I got the veal Marsala which had 3 very small pieces of veal that were very bland and had no flavor and the sauce did not look like Marsala sauce at all. The potatoes on the side were burnt and very dry. My fiancé got zuppa pesce which she said was fantastic. I honestly would not recommend it because of my personal experience and I really wanted to enjoy it.

Below is my breakdown of various aspects of this restaurant. Food: Fantastic and fresh. Made to order. The Risotto Special with Vodka sauce is a must try Staff: Very accommodating and friendly. Constant movement and clear communication. Decor: Nice overall, but way to many pictures of customers, etc. The walls are covered in pictures. Negative: They need to be very clear of a credit card up charge. At no time did I see any sign indicating this, nor did the staff let us know before card usage. An extra $6 charge. Ridiculous!!!

Last night I think I visited the most lowkey underrated Italian restaurant in Staten Island! It's my birthday and my husband and some friends surprised me with a dinner here! First of all it was a Saturday night I was blown away with the live singer they had at the restaurant all night! I think it was the owners wife who sang a few songs she sounds amazing! The restaurant is very cozy very intimate very classy very nice ! Very anything you can think of. The service was great the waiter was on top of everything we never had to ask for drinks he would just look over and say another round as long as they said yes or I said yes boom ! The menu is short and sweet lots of GREAT OPTIONS! We ordered:

Apps: Fried artichokes (absolutely delicious probably my favorite) Caprice (delicious very fresh) Arugula salad ( the goat cheese on this was great I would of wanted maybe a little bit more all over the salad and the lemon dressing oh my lord that dressing should be a food group lol ) The appetizers are shareable there was 5 ppl at my table and there was definitely enough for everyone to share from .

Entrees : Linguine in clam sauce (this dish comes with actual clams in the shells delicious) The picante (this is two very big pork chops in a spicy sauce with potatoes and veggies. The veggies definitely absorb the heat but the pork chop was so tender and delicious wow I drooled trying a piece of the pork chop and the veggies) Salmon ( a nice pretty piece of salmon with potatoes sautéed spinach with whole pieces of garlic and 2 grilled shrimps.. the shrimp chefs kiss omg so good I ordered 5 more on the side the shrimp here is soooo good trust me you would want them with anything you order !!! Stuffed rigatoni ( was a nice serving and the sauce was creamy ) Chicken parm ( the chicken parm !!!!! The chicken was nicely breaded great flavor the spaghetti was cooked perfectly)

Dessert : Cannoli ( the filling was the best filling I have ever had and I LOVE Italian pastries but this has got to be one of the best cannoli's I have had at a restaurant it tasted homemade and not store bought) I promise you'll love it Peanut butter pie (the peanut butter pie was my birthday slice I love anything peanut butter this was drizzled with chocolate and I think caramel or peanut butter syrup. Sooooo good very delish. ) The next time I visit I'm definitely ordering the pie and cannoli because I can't choose lol !!

Double expresso with sambuca

Cappuccino (was the perfect way to wrap up my birthday dinner)

The staff here doesn't rush you out which I love . If you come on the weekends they have a live singer it's perfect to tie this experience together!

Very long story just come and experience it for your self the price point is affordable for the serving sizes, the service and the experience .

HUGE THANK YOU TO THE OWNER FOR MAKING MY BIRTHDAY SO NICE! As a first time customer I can say we are now going to be regulars !

My wife and I tried this place for lunch on a whim, and boy am I glad we did. Upon entering we were greeting with a warm, cozy, inviting atmosphere. The hostess that greeted us was friendly, accommodating, a very nice. The wait staff was equally as welcoming and they were very attentive to us. We tried the prix-fixe lunch menu, which I definitely recommend. For my appetizer, I tried the mozzarella with tomatoes and olives. My wife tried the stuffed mushrooms. Both dishes were fresh, flavorful, and prepared and cooked to perfection. I normally don't like mushrooms at all, but I loved those mushrooms. For my main course, I had the tilapia oreganata. It was served with potatoes and vegetables in a white wine and lemon sauce. Absolutely delicious. The fish was cooked perfectly. It was tender and flaky, but not mushy, and tasted fresh like it was caught that day. The vegetables were lightly grilled and the potatoes melted in my mouth. For dessert, we were provided with tiramisu and coffee which presented a delicious finish to a great lunch. The tiramisu was rich, creamy, and bore the taste of a delicious espresso to round out the sweetness. I would recommend Giuliana’s to anyone looking for a great Italian lunch or dinner, and I will definitely be...
