Golden City — Restaurant in New York

All in all the food is good but that is besides the point I am making.

I ordered three large orders of different dishes and was cheated out of food. I was given one dish in the large regular white food container with the silver handle which was fine. Instead of putting the other two dishes in the same white food container as the first dish, my food was put in the combination snap containers which are not that big and the white rice was put in there with both dishes which makes it looks like a large when there was actually less food. In other words, you are being charged for a large and they are giving you a little more food that can fit into a small container. I was there not too long ago and someone was in a dispute with the workers about the containers that they were putting the food in. I ordered a large egg foo young and instead of there being three patties, there were two patties and they charged the large price. I have to agree with the folks on this board that their fried rice is not very fresh. I believe it has been pre-cooked and they reheat it. Asian folks are sneaky...

Very rude lady at front taking orders. Very poor Customer service. She was yelling at me because she oh she's busy. I'm like I'm paying customer for years ,lower your voice. There is no reason. To be disrespectful. I chose not to spend my money here. We as black people need to stop spending out money in chinease restaurants with people who are rude and disrespectful. She hung up on me several times, all because she asked me to repeat the order and I did and she still hung up. We are paying these people cash daily and this is how they treat us, like they are above us. I asked the rest of the people standing there and they agreed she is always rude and snippy. Also the department of health will be getting a call because it's disgusting in there. Wake up spend your money where you are appreciated. I'm an educated woman who deserves just as much respect and any other person. Very loud rude and disrespectful. Racist and unprofessional establishment!!!! Running! Spend your money at other places like jade joy( chinease) she is nice and kind, not rude, rachet,racist, and completely...

The only reason this place gets any business is that other Chinese food stores are either on White Plains Rd or on the Bruckner. There is ALWAYS hair on the chicken wings. You ask for extra onions in your fried rice and there is none. The only items that are okay are the ice tea and the egg roll. My latest adventure was a few days ago when I ordered 19.75 of food and was suppose to get a free soda. I got that after I had to ask and ordered an extra soda so I have the lady 21.00 and she handed me the .25 back but did not put the extra soda in the bag. I asked where the soda was and she started to yell about how she made the ice tea free. I tried to explain but she continued to yell about the ice tea that was included in the original price. 🤦‍♀️ I rather take a trip for better food and better...
