I moved up here from. Georgia 8 years ago and I have searched all over, Harlem Brooklyn, all boroughs for some real good soul food. I work in the Bronx but live in Manhattan. Every night I passed this restaurant, too tired to stop. Yesterday, on my day off, I finally went there. I ordered the whiting dinner with sides of collards greens, macaroni and cheese, and hush puppies. I was having flash backs that I was back home in Georgia eating this food. I haven't had food this good since I left Georgia. Collards tender and full of flavor, mac and cheese like no other in the city, even the cornbread. The fish good. This will be my forever soul food spot until I leave this city! It is a shame, it tooke 8 years to find. Real soul food in Nyc.
