The park is beautiful , nice layout, well organized but there was rubbish all over and not enough garbage bins around the park. Long branches covered the running area. It looks like no one cares about this beautiful park. This park has been ignored for quite a long time. I personally am scared to run or bike around the park. All the bushes don't feel safe at all. I have run with my kids few times, but I have stopped going there. When it gets dark, whole park surprisingly has no lights what so ever. At very first, when I visited, I was heading home with my kids. I had to rush home. it was so scary. We couldn't see well in the park and got lost a couple of times. If everyone took care of this park, this park would be rated 5 star and everyone would go there and it would be one of the beautiful parks...

I have visited only upper part of the park and did not see Sound views, however it is very clear that Bronx river waterfront could be exposed and utilized much better. Paved biking and walking path is tantalizingly close to the river but you can catch its glimpses only via unmarked short trails. Forested park part’s grass is not cut short enough although “The Bronx is blooming” organization is trying to improve it (I would advise to create marked trails for hiking). Otherwise, park is quite competitive with other city parks. There are athletic fields, dog run, playground and clean restrooms at the time of a visit...

Soundview Park offers a serene escape with beautiful views of the Bronx River. You can find a quiet spot to relax on a bench or a large rock while enjoying the peaceful scenery. The park features a spacious open field known as the Soundview Park Amphitheater, perfect for spreading out and unwinding. For those who enjoy walking or biking, the paths wind through a tree-lined landscape with occasional peeks of the water. There are plenty of places to stop and rest, making it an ideal spot to de-stress. The park is often uncrowded, adding to its tranquil and...

In the year 1956 the Colon family became the third residents to enter into the future, at the Soundview projects when there were two parks within the field. While living at 1665 Randall in 1971, Sept. we lost our sister, killed at the park. (Handball section) Finally, in 1976 we moved away, but the memories will remain in my heart of the park that was once a training area for the US Army going as far back as the early 1900's. God bless to the future children Soundviewnese of tommorrow. *The rest is a very long story😉
