Hi, and thanks for responding. I'm interested in speaking with you regarding my recent visit to "Good Friends" restaurant. I was appalled by the rude service I received. Our server was unfriendly and dismissive, seemingly put off by our questions about the menu.
The service was truly atrocious. The staff and manager seemed disinterested in our needs and failed to provide even basic courtesy. I was shocked by the lack of professionalism and respect.
Avoid the disgraceful "Good Friends" in the Resorts World Casino Food Court at all costs! This dump is an insult to the culinary world. Overpriced, underseasoned, and utterly disgusting. But the pièce de résistance? ROACHES IN THE FOOD! Yes, you read that right. I found not one, but TWO cockroaches in my curry laksa soup. Unacceptable.
The "manager" seemed completely unfazed when I brought it to his attention. No apology, no offer to compensate or even replace the order. Just a shrug and no apology from the lanky ill speaking Chinese , so called ma ager. "Buddy". Unbelievable.
The food court has better options. Don't waste your money or risk your health on this filthy excuse for a restaurant. "Good Friends" you're a disgrace to the Big Apple.
Update: I've reported this incident to the NYC Health Department and the Casino management. Let's hope they take action and shut this dump...
Read moreResorts World NYC has some serious work to do when it comes to their dining options! I've had the misfortune of trying three of their restaurants, and each experience was a disaster.
Cups and Cones: Overpriced and mediocre ice cream, served with a side of attitude from the unfriendly staff. Good Friends Noodles: Subpar and flavorless food, with a manager who seemed completely uninterested in customer satisfaction. The Sugar Factory: Slow service, cold food, and a manager who became aggressive when we tried to speak to them about our issues.
It's clear that Resorts World NYC has a systemic problem with their restaurants. The food is subpar, and the managers seem completely unprofessional.
Until they take steps to address these issues, I'd recommend avoiding their dining options altogether. Take your business (and your appetite) elsewhere. It's not worth the hassle or the disappointment.
UPDATE: I've reported these incidents to Resorts World NYC management and hope they take action to address the poor food quality and unprofessional management. It's time...
Read moreI don’t normally leave reviews but I need to stop the slander lol. I was staying at the hotel and almost didn’t eat here due to the low rating but when I saw all the older East Asian people in line ordering multiple plates per person, I knew that was a good sign. This place is SO good. I ordered the roasted duck with rice and it was 10/10 - quality was very comparable to a sit down or dim sum restaurant. People complaining of the bone or tendon parts are likely used to a different kind of Chinese food and don’t understand that’s what gives the dishes its flavor, and also aren’t willing to get messy and clean the meat off those bones. Price wasn’t bad - it’s in a hotel/casino food court so I expect costs to be a lil bit inflated but not unreasonable compared to other fast casual places. Honestly thinking of taking another plate to go before I get on my flight...
