Crossbay Motor Inn — Hotel in New York

Terrible experience for first night in new york. Due to last minute cancellation of my original hotel booking, I had to wander around East New York looking for a place to stay in just for a night. They charged me twice for one night and weren’t helpful at all then just asked me to withdraw money (i couldn’t do it at that time with my international card) only had a 100 on me. They didn’t allow me in as the charge for the night was 120$ i asked if i could pay a 100 now and then 20 tomorrow as my card didn’t allow me to withdraw that night. Desk person denied my request but then suggested “short night stays” which is a 4 hour stay for 60 and then i think 20 for every extra hour? I accepted since I had no other way to spend the night. The place was in a horrendous condition. I couldn’t even lay on bed. Bathroom wasn’t proper at all. I spent my 4 hours sitting on the bed with my towels (that I burnt later). Then received a call from the phone in the room to remind me to check out otherwise I’d be charged extra for any extra hour. ( i wouldn’t have stayed an extra second in there) gathered my stuff and checked out, but had to ask for wifi to order an uber. No wifi no help whatsoever. The guy actually told me to drag my suitcases and go try to catch a wifi signal in a laundromat somewhere around(?) i asked if he could assist in anyway so i can order my cab. Nothing. He literally looked me dead in the eye and said nope. I sat there for around 20 minutes waiting for a divine intervention until the other guy showed up and I tried ask again for some help; he was kind enough to share his hotspot. I managed eventually to order my cab and leave but stained my first experience forever. A place for some...

This place is a total turn of got there at 6:30am me my wife and my daughter I’m here in NY for jus the day to take care of some business after a long drive coming from out of state I decided to go here for just a 4 hrs stay jus to get a little sleep I paid $105 when I went up to the room it was a total turn of the beds are stink and dirty and room smells really bad I was so sleepy I jus thought to myself that I’m jus gonna make it work about 25 mins later my wife tell me she can’t stand it here and let’s go somewhere else I totally agree because my skin was already scratching I asked the front desk to jus refund me and let me go he tried offering me another room which is more stink he only refunded me $40 out of my $105 I paid jus 25mins earlier I could have definitely make this situation escalate but man that guy is lucky I wasn’t in the mood to make problems...

Well... this isn't what you would consider a classy establishment. Seems this location's centrally distributed "air freshener" is called "DePlant of Ganja". Honestly, if I had to choose between sleeping in my car's trunk and sleeping in one of the beds at this location.. I'd choose my luxurious trunk, while hugging the spare tire. I prefer to avoid contracting a skin disease. You must be saying, "stop exaggerating so much Sweet! It can't be that bad." All I'll say is, "vaya con Dios!" (Go with God!). But if you like dark and mysterious places, where your local slasher might like to hang out.. well, this is the place for you! You can have it...Enjoy! Everyone else.... BEWARE or...
