Update 1/22/24

I've been back three times since my initial review and I can honestly say that is the best brewery I have ever been to. Consistently phenomenal experience. The beer is amazing, awesome food from Lala's, and every staff member is awesome. Great vibes here. A big shout out to Tony. Best beertender/bartender! Hold on to that gentleman! Much love to the Grimm family and team!

It's an absolute pleasure to write a review for this establishment. The beers are phenomenal with so many types to try. The brûlée treatment to the stouts and barleywines was a first for me and insanely delicious. Everyone that works there is phenomenal. Irene & Tony were awesome behind the bar! The environment is super welcoming and warm with a charming ambiance. I met one of the owners as well and he was very nice. The pizza from Lala's is absolutely delicious! And I'd be remiss to not mention how awesome Simcoe the cat is! I wish this brewery was closer to me but it's worth the drive. I can't...

Grimm did a nice job w their brewery. Good space, decent layout and vibe. Of course, good beer too. But whoever designed the bathrooms needs some common sense. I feel really sorry for the women using these bathrooms. Super unsanitary toilet paper. The amt of urine spatter hitting that paper while guys are pissing... The roll is literally 12 inches from the lip of the bowl and cant be avoided no matter how good we aim, there will always be a light backsplash low and close to the lip. This is exacty where the toilet paper roll is. Splatter will be light so dries quickly, then the next guy comes in and repeats. Just makes it even more cringy thinking that the paper will most likely be dry when women use it. Maybe Grimm did this bathroom job themselves, cutting corners, and space on purpose in the name of style? Gross to think about, I know, but I just had to warn the women. Serious tho. This is what happens when you merge hipster style, gender neutral bathrooms with poor design thinking. Fashion over function is cool sometimes, but not...

Grimm in my humble opinion is the gold standard for Brooklyn breweries.

First there beers are fantastic and not just the IPAs, I have tried literally every style of beer at Grimm and never not enjoyed it. My personal favorite is Lambo Door but you really cannot go wrong with any of there beers.

However the reason that Grimm is the gold standard is for the experience atmosphere and aesthetic of the brewery. Grimm is the most attractively designed brewery I’ve ever been too the drop lights the giant white bar the huge garage window it is simply amazing in their. Beyond the aesthetic the service is fantastic even on busy days the bartenders are both efficient and friendly.

Overall there is no place I’d rather spend a day drinking beer...

I really enjoy GRIMM ales and my first trip to their brewery was a cool experience due to the experimental nature of the ales we tried. They are really dedicated to making brewing and brewery feel like a high art form which is a distinct atmosphere. It very much felt like an art gallery of sorts, a bit cold and dotted with only high tops and bar seating. I consider myself a bit of a beerhead but I don’t know if I’ll be returning to this space. Really enjoyed the brews and the hops being listed on the menu was really great. With no food you’re able to focus on the beer for its own sake. I think for now though, I’ll stick to the cans and enjoy from the comforts of my own abode.
