SHM Bagel & Coffee Shop — Restaurant in New York

I don’t live anywhere near here but whenever I am around and I gave time to stop, I stop and have a bit here at SHM Bagel & Coffee Shop.

What I like most about it, is the food. I feel like my mom, dad or one of my Aunties made it and I feel like I’m with them chillin’ and eating. It brings back memories.

Besides that, the owner is kind and friendly and so are the workers. This place if clean and smells clean. It’s a spot where there’s no real fanfare but I like that because, once inside, you have some chairs, a few tables and a two stool window seat option. However, there is a long radiator there so, if you sit to the side, things will work out for you eating over there.

They have a nice assortment of cold beverages and food options. Again, the place is clean and I feel confident eating here.

Ever since the old owners left I can’t seem to like this place. They are extremely overpriced for that they serve. Last time I ordered a BLT, with well done bacon on an everything bagel. The entire sandwich was burnt, the bacon the bread, I couldn’t even eat it. The guy at the front was helpful and said I could come back and get a new sandwich. I picked up the sandwich a few days later, it wasn’t too bad, but not satisfying. I went today to spend 7 dollars on another BLT, to basically eat tomatoes lettuce and bread. Bacon is the main component on a BLT and instead I get three to four thin slices of bacon? For seven dollars? I couldn’t even taste bacon. It’s unfortunate because this place is so close to me. I wouldn’t mind paying the money if the sandwich was actually put together nicely. Not worth it...
