Guac Time Mexican Grill — Restaurant in New York

If I could ZERO starts trust me I would. Went here for the first time last night. Ordered a bowl and took it home. I took maybe two bites and the next bite I bit down and felt something hard that was not food. I spit out a METAL SCREW. I could’ve broken teeth or choked to death on this. Thank god I caught it when I did. I called them and they had zero response didn’t even offer me a refund ! I drove back and the first thing they said was “where’s the screw?” No apology no what can I do for you. I said give me my money back. Then the guy was on the phone w someone else trying to figure out how to do the refund meanwhile WE PAID CASH. Horrible customer service and pathetic responses. They couldn’t care less if I died while eating their food. All of the workers did not care and had zero expression on their faces. They didn’t even offer me the refund I had to ask for it ! Unbelievable. That was the first and LAST time I will ever go there. Beware because who knows what’ll be in the food next and they don’t care about...

This food itself is good, portion is big, but my experience at this location was disappointing due to the poor attitude of the server. I was here on 2/10/2025 around 12:20pm, from the moment I walked in, the lady seemed uninterested and prepared my order without any courtesy and full of impatient. I’m sure she speaks Spanish but when I ask for CARNITAS she kept repeating what? What? Well I’m asian and even I do have accent, how can you not understand car-ni-tas? And she said they don’t have that, oh wow a Mexican food restaurant doesn’t have carnitas sounds interesting to me. During grand opening I would suggest do more proper training for employees otherwise I’m afraid to return at...

Guac Time was good. It’s a build-your-own style place similar to Chipotle, but with more variety, which was a nice surprise. The service was friendly and quick, and the food was fresh and satisfying.

The one drawback was the music. I don’t mind rap music at all, but it would’ve been better if they played the clean versions, especially since I was dining with my family. Hearing loud obscenities while trying to enjoy dinner really took away from the experience.
