I have been coming here for the past ten years on and off. I come back because they have good bagels, and I always stop going because their prices change daily and never in my favor. For the past 2 weeks I have been coming here and was getting a bagel with butter and cheese and a small coffee. The total was always 6.25 for the first week. 4 bucks for the bagel and 2.25 for the small coffee. Then they started changing their prices like they are known to do. It went up to 7.08 one day and then back down to 6.25 another day, and then back up to 7.08. When I started showing them the receipt of my previous EXACT order, the employee matched the cheaper price but said that the price of butter had increased and that now it'll be the increased price. I said to the employee that if this is the case, he will lose a customer just over a mere few cents. 5 dollars for a bagel with butter and cheese is too much even in New York. But I come back anyway. I come in the next 3 days, it's back down to 6.25. Their prices are never uniform. And this time I keep the receipts. Now today when they get my order wrong (I ordered an everything bagel but was given a plain bagel) the employee told me quite rudely that I can choose to not come here anymore if I don't want to but this is going to be the price whether I like it or not. Wow, what a great way to talk to your customers. Well this time you definitely lost a customer for good.

How people give this place any positive reviews is mind-blowing. Absolutely the worst coffee hands down. Hot.. iced take your pick.. customer service has been bad for years.. The place can be empty first thing in the morning and it takes forever just like this morning.. Ordered a BEC (Bacon, Egg, and Cheese) on an everything bagel.. It took over 15 mins with the store practically being empty first thing in the morning Absolutely terrible.. wasn't even warm.. eggs where way over done.. and an everything bagel that barely had any seasoning on it.. And was charged $7.68 for a BEC didn't order anything else.. talk about a rip off absolutely absurd This place is an embarrassment.. Workers touching all types of food with no type of barrier after touching money and ringing up customers..

This place has one of the best bagels in Queens! I got a toasted everything bagel with lox spread. This is actually my second time ordering that from here. The first time was years ago, and I remember the bagel being good but too the lox spread was too salty. I decided to give them another chance, a few days ago and good thing I did. The bagel was just as good as I remember. The crispy outer crust contrasted nicely with the fluffy inner layer and the lox wasn't too salty at all. Overall, it was delicious. Plan in advance if you need to travel a bit to get here, though, because they close at 2pm. Yes, 2 in the afternoon is their closing time. If you go early, there is usually a long line, or so I've been told. I went around 12:30pm and it was pretty empty.

I am so tired of getting push back for asking for sliced bagels , some women is always like we charge extra , I ordered bagels for 7am ( no Egg bagels ? ) at 7am also none of my bagel were pre sliced , the bagels are great but I will start paying for my pre sliced bagels elsewhere, also apparently there is a rule . - if you get the bagels pre sliced you don’t get your free one , at first I thought they were kidding , but they aren’t . Enjoy your bagels.

Update - a day after posting this they wrote *Be well *

  • Stop supporting this establishment as a community imagine this attitude just from customer service I bet they say these things when it comes to cleanliness and quality control and safety. Please I implore you go take a business class. There is a plethora of reviews that show your business is not thriving *

Who ever started this business would turn in there grave if they seen the hostile tactics you run that broken down brick into I bet it once was a strong pillar in the community to start the communities day with a hearty bagel and strong coffee, instead you choose to ignore your own mission statement as follows . “Since we opened our doors, Whitestone Bagel Factory has become an integral part of the local community. We started Whitestone Bagel Factory in 2000 after realizing it wasn’t always easy to source the highest-quality fresh, local and wholesome food in Queens. We’ve worked hard to build strong relationships with our incredible vendors, which helps us to keep our costs down, and we do all we can to pass those savings on to you. Come and explore our busy Bagel Shop today and discover the true meaning of delicious.”

Now I will “ Be well “

But to you I say this

Completely unorganized. My first time there and won't go back. Was directed to the line to order. Waited, waited, waited. The two girls behind the counter didn't even acknowledge my presence but helped others who just walked up.

One lady (entitlement) popped up to my right and nearly shoved me over to ask if there were any rolls left. Counter person said yes 2 and saved them for her. Mind you, I was going to purchase them for my breakfast sandwich.

Still waiting, another lady stepped up to my left and asked her to do her order. Counter girl complied.

When I got there, I asked where the line was to order and was told straight ahead. Another line was also forming by register.

I'm a 76 year old senior and have throughout my life been patient, respectful, and never pushed in front of others.

No one, not one person working there, asked, "Can I help you?"

Establishments don't truly understand you not only lose me and my friend, you lose my relatives, my friends, and people who read reviews.

Very poorly run, workers don't really care, there should be a line to and one to pay.

Their prices are outrageous and they should hire more people.

Never...
