My son came from Colombia for a month’s vacation, and he really wanted to try a Mexican-inspired restaurant. We chose Ho’ Brah — one of my top spots in Staten Island — and it was the perfect choice! He loved the fun atmosphere, the music, and the beach-surf style décor, and as a family we all had a great time. Our server, Joe, was attentive, helpful, and full of positive energy, which made the experience even more comfortable and enjoyable. The food was excellent: I loved their special Fish Taco, my son devoured his Grilled Chicken Quesadilla (he added a squeeze of lime and it was amazing), my little daughter enjoyed her cheese quesadilla, and my wife was thrilled with her fresh salad. As a recommendation, the Blueberry Smash is a fantastic choice if you’re looking for something refreshing and alcohol-free. Thank you, Ho’ Brah, for such a great experience. We can’t wait to come back and enjoy it again as a family! 🌮🌊

If you’re coming for authentic Mexican food, you’re coming to the wrong place. The food is by no means anything special but if you’re hungry, it will satisfy. Pork empanadas were very good and meaty but wish it had some cheese in there. Both quesadillas were very basic, having neutral flavor (tasted like tortilla with salt & pepper)which wasn’t bad but wasn’t outstanding either. Usually Mexican restaurants have their homemade hot sauce but I was given Cholula hot sauce which worked but like I said, “by no means special”. Server was alone and one other bartender so we just paid at the register instead of waiting to be noticed. Food and pricing was good and would satisfy your hunger, but would definitely not be back.

I recently visited Ho'Brah on a lively karaoke Thursday night and had the pleasure of trying their Aloha wings. These wings were a masterful blend of flavors, striking the perfect balance between the heat of the jalapeños and the subtle sweetness that I suspect comes from pineapple. The sauce was a highlight, leaving me wanting more with each bite. It's not just the food that makes Ho'Brah a standout; the atmosphere is vibrant and inviting, making it a really cool spot for anyone looking to enjoy good food and good times on Staten Island.

If you're craving a vibrant spot for delicious, no-frills tacos, Hobrah Taco Joint is the place to be. Nestled in the heart of the city, this taco haven serves up bold flavors with a side of personality that makes it stand out from the rest.

The tacos themselves are the main star of the show. From the perfectly seasoned meats to the house-made salsas, everything comes together in a harmonious bite. Whether you’re a fan of the classic carnitas or looking to try something new like the smoky chipotle shrimp, there's something for every palate. The tortillas are always fresh, soft yet sturdy enough to hold all the fillings without falling apart.

One thing that truly sets Hobrah apart is their attention to detail in toppings. Fresh cilantro, tangy onions, and a drizzle of zesty lime juice elevate the flavors in a way that feels thoughtful and intentional. And don’t skip the side of guacamole – it’s rich, creamy, and full of flavor.

The atmosphere is relaxed yet buzzing with energy. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making sure you feel right at home as soon as you step in. Whether you’re grabbing lunch or enjoying a late-night taco fix, the vibe is always on point. Plus, the casual, no-hurry environment makes it a perfect place to kick back with friends and enjoy some great food.

Prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. Portion sizes are generous without feeling overwhelming, so you’ll leave satisfied but not stuffed.

In short, Hobrah Taco Joint is a must-visit for taco enthusiasts. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by for a taste of their mouthwatering creations. You won’t be...

Stopped here to Meet a couple Friends for Dinner, Service was Professionally Accommodating and friendly As I observed The staff working effortlessly to Wait on the people Atmosphere was Cozy. For our appetizer,We started with Guacamole and chips, Guacamole was good it had a little lime flavor to it 👌,Then Our Server suggested the house special Appetizer A Quesadilla! Which came in 4 nice size pieces, Enough for everyone. Very good and tasty. For main corse it, seemed like we all wanted the same thing. Two DUKE Wet Burritos Which was Huge in size and Two MAHOLA Bowls The shrimp was cooked to perfection just right The Jasmine rice was dry and not enough corn or rice on the dish. Also had one serving of macaroni and cheese with chorizo ! The macaroni was pre cooked But aldente There was no flavor or taste of chorizo ! The chorizo was so small in pieces that it almost fell Through the slots in the fork, this was not homemade Chorizo, It was link Chorizo cut into very small pieces ( If you know, you know) Chorizoz Not big enough to be sauteed to render enough flavor to be incorporated with the cheese for the Ultimate flavor of the combination Of all the ingredients! The cheese on top was not melted completely and the Food was Warm.also Three complementary bottle sauces on table Hot,Green,Brown=😋place was cozy inside and out very nice outdoor seating patio This is my 1st experience here and it wont be the last Very comfortable cozy...

Eh... Came in on a Sat around 5ish. Place was packed and felt like it was understaffed for the peak hour. Took easily 10 minutes to get a drink from the only bartender there.

Anyway onto the food. The food was alright. Had 3 different tacos all of which almost tasted the same, except for one smothered in bbq sauce. They all tasted pretty bland and was like they were trying too hard to think outside the box but failed. Cheap stringy coleslaw on most of their tacos for much needed texture. Steak tacos were cubes of leather belt oozing with typical BBQ sauce. Obviously this isn't for people who've had authentic tacos or know anything about spices. All of the tacos I ordered came garnished with cilentro ontop, which wasn't even removed from its stem. Never seen that before at a restaurant. I ordered 2 beers with my wife when when placing our order, only to remind my waiter minutes before finishing our dishes that we still didn't get our drinks. A whole meal went by before we had anything to drink.. Guy didn't even check on us once...

The place looks cool, has a nice ambience and fun decor. However, the food and service was lacking and leaving me...
