I love Express and especially their Chicken Vindaloo. I order it either extra spicy or spicy and order from here because many Indian places tone the spice level down significantly for American taste, but they will make it truly spicy—and Chicken Vindaloo is one of the spiciest things you’ll find on an Indian Cuisine Menu. This time, my order came mild rather than spicy, so I called the restaurant and the owner was beyond nice and immediately offered to send me out a free replacement ASAP. Express has really quality, rich ingredients and the portions of the dishes are quite generous—for me, one dish costing about $20-21 bucks once I add on the Naan and tip makes three meals and it’s just as delicious reheated next day. My only thing I’d say to be aware of is their delivery staff in my experience today was very rude. I was going to give the delivery guy who brought me the free replacement dish a generous tip for his trouble—but he was very rude and actually even yelled at me—insisting the building door was not open, I assume just because he didn’t want to bother to come inside. When I got downstairs to meet him—the door was literally open—so obviously open that there’s no way you could mistakingly think it’s closed—but he was just standing there, then shoved the food at me and yelled. Wonderful restaurant with stellar food and service, and I won’t let one mean delivery guy keep me from ordering their great food.

Poor excuse of Indian food. Never had a DRY chicken tikki masala, no sauce or nothing and they threw a bunch of onions on top. Undercooked garlic naan, doughy and gummy. And a very small portion of rice. Not the way a hard worker like myself wants to enjoy his dinner after a long day at work. Thumbs down, step it up

This is their kadhai paneer. No salt, no masala, paneer and bell pepper floating in the water. We ordered gulab jamun, veggie biryani, garlic naan. EVERYTHING SUKCS. Food was stale, no taste. I’m really disappointed. And you will get stomach ache for free.

I’ve ordered the vegan Vegetarian Korma and their Dal Makhani, and some other vegan entrees— the portions are very generous and the basmati rice is really one of the best around. They do a brisk business. But even though ordering from them at the last moment the always deliver on time and the food piping hot, right off of the stovetop. Amazing flavors. There is a lot of criticism for this place yet given this proximity to the uppermost westside of Manhattan and choices for Indian takeout especially with Grubhub or others, there is not a wider number of restaurants here. Indian Express does greatly for its menu selection and I would highly recommend it for anyone who loves any kind of Indian cuisine. Just...

I oused to order from this restaurant often and I rarely had a complaint. Last night I ordered from Uber Eats. The driver didn’t follow my delivery instructions and I was such in a rush to give him a rating, I give this restaurant a good rating before tasting the chicken tikka masala that I order from them almost weekly. Now I can’t edit my rating on UE therefore I’m here; The rice was soggy, pasty & bland and the mango lassi tasted like old beer mixed with milk. I could cook better rice with my eyes closed. Although swimming in sauce the chicken was extra dry. This experience ruined my favorite dish for me forever. I don’t think I can ever order it again. DO NOT EAT HERE! I...
