1st and Foremost! 🙌🙌🏾🙌🏻🙌🏽! 5🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 This is A GEM of a restaurant Authentic!📍 ! I mean can i list how refreshing this business is ?!?!?…… Soul~Food =the magic behind this food is you can feel it, in your soul~ made with Love……and “ Katie O’s “has conquered just that. I want to give Ms.Katie her flowers because from the presentation, to every single bite you can see and taste the time , the love, the legacy, the soul, and great clean food used in every recipe !seemingly no shortcuts! For me it was nostalgic, it reminded me of the taste & labor of my grandmas “momma’s” cooking . A labor of love feeding all and no matter how much the recipe was pass down no one could do it like momma. Well Katie O’s i know your predecessors are smiling as you feed the community with your amazing flavors , great portions and service . I will continue to support you ! And spread the word !…Soulfood use to be everywhere now it is a luxury it has transformed into fusions of cuisines and that’s great, However , this restaurant is the real deal Holyfield👊🏾😂. Soul food is time consuming … and it cost to serve the community … lets all support Katie O’s Trust and believe you will not be sorry. The Foodie in me had to express this , long winded and all!! I give the people … all races , backgrounds etc a heads up because trust and believe you don’t have to go south to get that great southern eating in ya mouth 😂. Guys You Gotta go and get you some Katie o’s!!🙏🏾up this business will thrive. ~ P.sThis food is also an option to those fighting big backs☺️ ….moderation is key and the ingredients are phenomenal you will be fine. Everything is phenomenal especially the dressing/stuffing(spicy gravy if you choose) , greens w smoked meat … potato salad whipped 😳 that’s what i said AMAZING!!!!!!! Yams …. Meats or not !!!! Drinks ..desserts etc

Okay, the food is decent, however IT IS NOT WORTH $25 dollars, the quality of the food, the taste and the portion is NOT WORTH NOBODIES $25 dollars. I felt sad eating my food because I felt robbed, this is not a purchase that feels like a treat or makes you feel good about yourself or the money spent. The wings were small, and oily, yams were mashed and watery, collards also tasted sweet. And then I spent $25 dollars for it, which I’m disappointed in myself for, knowing 4 wings and 2 sides ain’t worth $25 dollars. Y’all don’t even give no cornbread or nothing lol. A shame. Edit: thank you for your reply. As someone from the south, I’m familiar with using a pinch of sugar to cut the bitterness and gas but also a bit of vinegar to cut sweetness and add some flavor. I’ve never never had sweet collards in the south only up north. What I’m implying in this review is the the price is not worth it, if it reflects the price of food today it does not reflect the price of soul food from other places that are currently viral in Brooklyn ny, serving a larger community and travelers, running out of food daily, and giving out larger portions, I will only not name such places out of respect for your business because you all seem very nice and have great customer service. And in regards to labor, you’re serving dinner rolls as complimentary to the meal, when we know at-least a burnt corner piece of cornbread would have been the bare minimum for $25 dollar 4 piece and 2 sides, my yams were mashed, no cut pieces, don’t look like anyone put any labor into cutting yams because those also tasted canned. I waited a while for y’all to open back up, I miss the old menu, old prices, and old portions. It’s just not worth it for me anymore but I encourage anyone reading this to give it a try.

This was my first time coming- my cuz told me the food was good...so I figured let me give it a try. We went to the restaurant and ordered at 6:19 and didnt receive our orders until 7:30....yes...over an hour later. Didn't order anything extravagant....just some fried shrimp, collard greens and potato salad. I asked before ordering how long it would take for the shrimp and was told only 10 mins (cuz I heard there's a wait for it) so I thought that was fine. So where outside of the restaurant talking, (because of covid and all) and we're noticing its getting darker and darker. After like 30 mins, I went in to ask about the order and was told that there's a lil wait...after 45 mins...I went back in....was told there about to bag out orders up...after an hour I was told that they're putting my banana pudding together...which was funny because the only reason I ordered it was because there was a lot pre packaged in the fridge. After like 10 mins after that (its not 7:30) I received my order...thank goodness I checked my bag- i was missing my potato salad. While looking through my bag I'm noticing that the food containers weren't warm...but it was already over an hour, so I just went home. Overall, the food was ok....just would've been better if it was warm...even when I checked my order before leaving the store; seems as though the food was made some time before and was just sitting there...and no it wasn't as if my order was waiting for my cousin's excuse her food was just as cold as mine. So if u like cold food this...
