Kinanm Lounge — Restaurant in New York

I read good reviews for this bar so decided to go for my sister's birthday. We went on a Tuesday and When we got to the bar the bouncer asked my sister why'd she wear pasties and not just wear her breast out which I found very inappropriate. The bar only takes cash so we had to find an atm since we only had card. After walking 4 or 5 blocks to an atm we went back against our better judgement, we paid $10 to get in and stayed 5 minutes. The whole bar smelled like pee idk now if anyone cleans the bathrooms but the smell was so bad I was getting a headache. Then we decided to get a drink then go since we went through all that trouble and we tried waving the bartenders over but they clearly ignored us and turned their backs to the bar and proceeded to have a convo. We wound up leaving and going to our usually Tuesday spot. So we lost out on $10 since we stayed 5 minutes. Stopped by on whim in the middle of the week to quench my thirst several months ago and was not disappointed! While it was a quieter night, I had a chance to speak with the new manager who assures me it gets packed on the weekends and they will soon have a schedule of happy hour specials available and events. The ambiance has improved a lot since the new management.

I like the outdoor back area the most, it's a hidden gem not apparent from the outside. Definitely walk all the way in beyond the bar to find the patio area. It's the perfect place to sit with a drink and relax on a warm summer night with friends. This place has earned its spot on my usual rotation.

My friend and I walked up to the door around 10:30 on a Friday. We were just looking for somewhere to have a drink before moving onto the next spot. However, there was no one inside and there were three workers standing by the bar, one got up and rushed to the door and said” what we charging what, we doing tonight? I don’t even know”.
