La Flor del Canario 2 — Restaurant in New York

I went to get oatmeal the lady already had some oatmeal in a cup separate from the batch , that a previous customer didn't want , she tried to serve and sell me that same cup of oatmeal , I informed her I didn't want the cup of oatmeal that was in a cup cold that was sitting there , instead of just serving me a fresh cup of oatmeal , she takes the cold cup of oatmeal and dumps it back in the large hot batch of oatmeal , before she attempted to serve me a cup of oatmeal , she basically Contaminated the fresh batch of oatmeal with the old cup , SMH she did it with a very disrespectful vibe and tone , I told her I didn't want it she was very very disrespectful. 6:40 Am Sep , 1 I hope the management see the date and check the cameras and train 7her properly on customer service skills and mandate her to get her food handler license , because based on her performance she would of gotten the restaurant shut down if I was a food inspector , SMH. Very Malicious lady i guess i was interrupting her and the other lady .from continuing there very deep conversation of gossip , because when walked in the empty store I waited at least 3 to 4 minutes before they even attempted to Acknowledge me a customers Presence . Very disrespectful and shameful service , please...

This place it is simply a small restaurant with lots of love. The staff is great and the food was amazing. This was my first time visiting and ordered the Mangú (mashed green plantains) with Molleja Guizada (Gizzard Stew) and Morir Soñando (Orange and Cream drink).

My friend was visiting New York for the first time and this was his first time eaiting Dominican Food and he simply loved it.

We had some café (coffee) and the rest was simply great. The staff was so humbled and friendly. If you are in this side of the neighborhood make sure you visit them. You will love it.

Pros: The food is amazing. From breakfast to lunch this place is amazing. The price is just right for the food you receive. The service is great. If you don't have cash, they take debit and credit cards which is convenient.

Ok so I’m only giving 2 stars because the food is actually good but I hate the customer service here. They tend to their own kind first before accommodating you even if you were there before. As a regular customer you could only imagine how frustrating that is to me. This happened several times but the last time was the last straw for me.
