Lammy's Restaurant — Restaurant in New York

After so many great reviews, I’ve finally tried Lammy’s. My first time was the first the other day, and the service and food was outstanding. Today was my second time... not so much a good experience as it was prior. Although there was one person in front of me (this particular cashier was flirting) I was standing there for 10 minutes before I was even acknowledged. Unbeknownst to me, according to the cashier, there is an extra charge for plantains- no prob but the plantains were burnt to a crisp. Overall, the food is great but customer service could be better. A sense of friendliness, urgency, and acknowledgement goes a long way. ESPECIALLY...

One of the worst fast food joints in the bronx. The customer service is poor. They give you different food from what you order because the lady sharing doesn't listen. The food is filled with cooking oil even the pasta and it's tasteless. The bake chicken or whatever they have at the front on display looks very black and the rest of the food isn't prepared properly. Buy at your own risk. I went there once and I'm never going back. The pastas are overcooked and the shrimp isn't seasoned. Some of the rice grains are cooked while some are still tough like they have a mixture of two...

Lammys Restaurant is authentically flavored. The porridge variation created by the owner satisfied my palate. Especially the fried dumpling, and saltfish fritters consistency; it was perfection. Not to mention the cook-up saltfish, and salt mackerel cooked to exact expected taste. I look forward to continue supporting their delicious recipes. Go Lammys! I totally agree with Anthony Bourdain superb 5 star grading....
