I came in to Little Italy to order a cheese pie today. I had been there before and enjoyed the pizza so I took my son and went to order again. However, due to the poor customer service I left and I will not be back. A gentlemen and his wife went to the register to order before me so I went to do the same. As I was standing there looking and waiting the cashier was putting pizza in a box and I assume checking online orders. I waited as he checked. I watched him pack not one but two pizzas and not once did he look up and say anything. I finally said "can we order". He says "go to the other guy" who was making the pizza to order. I said " I didn't know the other guy ordered from you". Nevertheless, I went to the other guy to order a large cheese pizza and he said something that was unclear because he once again wasn't looking at me. He was looking towards the guy making the pizza. The guy making the pizza looks at me and my son. So I said "I'm sorry we're you talking to me because you were looking straight at him". He says "yeah 25-30 minutes you wanna wait". I wouldn't have minded waiting at all. The poor customer service, leaving us standing there as opposed to telling us to go to the other guy to order, looking down, and the tone are why I said nevermind and walked out. While the pizza might be tasty, it's not free. When customers are in the shop. Address them with respect and basic customer service skills. That is how you continue to stay open and more importantly keep them...
Read moreOK.........with a lot of branches of this pizza place, this is the worst I have gone to. This is opposite Wendy's (a better choice if you do not want pizza). The pizza is OK, but not the quality of other LIP branches: the reason for the low score......the pizza is too cheesey and not enough red sauce......so you get a mouthful of cheese, not a blend of good ingredients. Two other things: the music is so loud you want to run. What is that about? Usually a sign that management is not managing, or no one cares. The staff seems very unfriendly and look as if they are waiting for a better job. Just my impression. I will not be returning to this location. If you do not care about the above, you might find it tolerable. Not me. Update: went again: pizza was fine, but the place was filthy with flies all over. It could be clean: but staff is so busy yelling at each other that the tables remain disgusting, at least on this visit. Floor...
Read moreI used to frequent this pizza place on 55th Street and 8th Avenue for late-night cravings. The pizza itself is decent, but the cashier's behavior left much to be desired. He was quite eccentric and rude, openly and aggressively soliciting tips from customers, which I found off-putting. On my first visit, after paying with a credit card, he handed me the receipt to sign, blatantly indicating the tip section for me to fill out. I wrote zero, unwilling to tip under such coercive circumstances. Subsequently, his attitude towards me changed; he began ignoring me and stopped giving me the receipt to sign, presumably because he realized I wouldn't tip through the receipt. Last time I was there, the staff were loudly conversing in a language other than English and shouting at each other, making for an uncomfortable atmosphere. Despite enjoying their pizza, these experiences have led me to decide...
