I can't say enough great things about Little Rascal. We had our wedding here. It was a private event, full bookout on a Saturday night, about 55 people in the beginning of October.
We picked Little Rascal because the first time I had been there the ambience and cocktails stood out. The design and aesthetic is chic and funky, the perfect backdrop for an event (because you don't have to add much yourself vs. typical event venues). The backyard space in the warmer months is lovely, but given it was a cooler night we ended up mostly inside, even so the inside space was the perfect size.
Halil was amazing to work with. He assured me of so many things like there would be enough people working the event, we could decorate how we want, we would have no shortage of hot delicious food, and exceptional cocktails all night.
Not only was that delivered, but then some. The staff as people are incredible. They're cool and nice and they really helped make the party. They knew how to manage the service and the mood so the night flowed perfectly from ceremony - to cocktails - to dinner, and then to dancing!
People were raving about how good the food was - from caviar to halloumi bites to shrimp, tender chicken and a wide range of vegetables (and more). Of course, I can't say enough about the craft cocktails from Keith and his team. You get so much variation being able to order from their menu, the quality was beyond what you could get at any other event like that.
I had looked at many other restaurants and venues in the Greenpoint/Williamsburg area but none compared. They were very much cookie cutter, and were less interested in making the event personal vs. what Little Rascal did.
I highly recommend Little Rascal for private events, but also if you're feeling like an elevated night out in Greenpoint, it's...
Read moreFirst time at this bar. Great cocktails and very nice male bartender but horrible waitress. She was rude and tried denying us seating, saying that there was a private event in 15 minutes (no apology nor offering the outdoor seating). The bartender corrected her saying that the event starts in 45 minutes and apologized profusely about it. We stayed for one drink. People from the private event started arriving as we were waiting for the check and she again came up to us saying "that's it you have to move outside", we told her that we are waiting for the bartender to give us the credit card back at which point she got even more attitude, saying that we have to leave right now and she will bring the credit card to us. Mind you, there was another customer sitting right next to us, but since he was an older male she didn't go up to him but continued being nasty to us. I actually had to tell her to leave us alone as we are only going to be dealing with the bartender, who had absolutely no problem with us staying an extra minute to sign the check. As locals from Greenpoint this really makes us reconsider coming...
Read moreI ventured to this little quaint yet bustling joint with my husband on a brisk early December evening. Immediately, we were greeted by the bartender whom gave us private access to the backyard to park our electric scooter. The hospitality here is beyond kind, I was able to customize a drink with the bartender as I didn’t have anything I could find to my liking on the menu.
Now, the fries - a heaping portion of steak cut fried drizzled in a thyme truffle salt. A good portion for the price ($10) but quality, a little lacking. Photo 1 is the mid fries. I would say: fry them longer! Or cut them thinner! But the drinks on the other hand - worth the price but try something traditional first I would say it’s on the cheaper end $18, my husband and I ordered fries and two cocktails came up to $50 (pricey but hey it’s New York and this a fancy place!) I would say for what is being presented - just do a little better...
