I was craving vermicelli which is surprisingly hard to find in this area (most Vietnamese spots are more focused on pho). I was excited to see that this place had some options and inevitably my meal was exactly what I wanted. This place is no frills, hole-in-the-wall. I got the marinated pork vermicelli dish which was exactly what I was expecting. Was the meat particularly great? No. Could it have used a bit more vermicelli? Probably. Was the spring roll good? Actually it was. To my own fault, I probably added too much hot sauce. But I was pumped they had hot sauce to give me! Will I be back? Only if I am uniquely craving...
Read more$9.95 for a lunch special, its okay for the price but there's better places to go to in little neck. The beef was surprisingly not chewy but the sauce tasted off. The spring rolls were good but the wonton soup was better than the actual wonton. The dough was thick and didn't even taste like wonton just a dumpling and it didn't have any shrimp in it. I think the pho or the Vietnamese options look and probably taste better than the options on the lunch special so... the waiter had an interesting sense...
