I arrived with my 11 year old today. When we first walked in the restaurant it was empty. I asked where should we sit and the man/ hostess/ owner said anywhere. We sat by the window and he immediately said with a stern voice- I said sit in the corner table. He never stated that. When I asked why the change he said theirs a party he is expecting and needed the table. We arrived at 3:45pm. I asked what time was the party arriving he said 6pm. They had plenty of time to flip the table for the party. I didn’t say anything as I wanted my daughter to have a nice meal. We left the restaurant more or less an hour later. With much time prior to 6pm. The table was left empty and untouched. They clearly did not need that table for the party. My sole guess is that they didn’t want a mix raced family facing their window where people on the outside could see us. Extremely disappointed to feel this type of treatment in this day and age. My husband is half Greek so is my daughter. You never know who you are attending to. In regards to the food- My seafood salad had small ice cubes in it. When I told the woman hostess nothing was done to address it. The seafood was clearly defrost and put into the salad too early. It was bland and untastefull. Such a shame to spend so much money on a very poor experience. Prior to us leaving it appeared they tried to be nice. The highest kind hospitality should be extended at first sight of...

OUTSTANDING! This restaurant is a hidden gem in plain sight. It is on the border of Queens and is worth the trip no matter where you are coming from. It is a very cozy restaurant with Greek island charm. The owner, Giorgos, is there to greet and welcome you. He has a large assortment of Greek wines to offer you to start off with and is very knowledgeable. The food is in a class by itself. Everything from the Grilled Octopus appetizer or the Fried Saganaki to the Mousaka or Lamb chops are cooked to perfection. But the real charm is in the array of fresh fish specials of the day that taste amazing. Everything we ordered was seasoned to perfection but if you prefer to alter the seasoning to your taste or need, all you need to do is ask and it will be done. Be sure to enjoy the desert. They offer cordials as well as home made Greek pastries. Be sure to try the Fig Gelato! Absolutely amazing. Overall go to this restaurant when you want good quality food accompanied by outstanding and attentive service. I promise you, you won't be...

On behalf of The Center for the Women of New York, I want to extend a huge thank you to Greek Islands for their incredibly generous and delicious donation to our Taste of the World at Fort Totten gala.

They provided mini spinach and feta pies as well as mini cheese pies that were an absolute delight. The flaky, buttery phyllo dough was perfectly crisp and each bite was filled with savory, flavorful fillings. The balance of spinach and feta was excellent, and the cheese pies were rich and satisfying. Our guests couldn't get enough of them!

It is because of beloved local businesses like Greek Islands that we are able to successfully raise vital funds for our mission of supporting women in the New York community. Their commitment to giving back shows a true dedication to the neighborhood, and it is exactly why I make a point to support businesses that care.

We highly recommend Greek Islands for their outstanding authentic Greek cuisine and their tremendous generosity. Thank you for your kindness and for making our event...

I visited this restaurant off a whim with my mother & we had an incredible dining experience at this charming Greek restaurant, thanks in large part to the warm hospitality of the owner, George. He was incredibly personable and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. The food was outstanding across the board — the branzino was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, served with a side of lemon potatoes that were to die for! The grilled octopus was tender and smoky, and the spinach pies were flaky and delicious. The calamari was another standout: light and crispy. George even recommended a pink sparkling wine that he mentioned is his wife’s favorite, BiancoNero and now it’s my new favorite, too! To top off the meal, George surprised us with a complimentary dessert named after him — a sweet gesture that perfectly capped off an already memorable evening. You can tell there’s a lot of heart in everything they do here. Can’t wait to come back!
